The ICM Spits in 1/48 build up ok with a bit of patience. That's a good value set 👍🏻

I just recently started purchasing ICM, kits for their figures for dioramas . The figures were sold seperately and I loved the dog as most RAF crews had a dog . I missed this kit with the two Spitfires, will have to go back and take a look. At $45.00 that's an exceptional buy with 1/48 kits running up to $100.00. Their variety of kits is expanding and customer service ordering direct is improving plus packaging is excellent. Glad I caught your channel. I'm reentering hobby in retirement and need all the help I can get on all the new kits and supplies. New subscriber.

I'm the same way with ICM kits, found them due to their figures (which are top notch) but have stayed for their kits which are growing on me! It was available on the squadron website (if you're in the US) for about 45$ with shipping. Pretty solid price for what you get

I have in my stash the 1:48 Luftwaffe figures from icm and i must admit that they have excellent detail and the moulding is pretty good for a plastic figure. We are talking also for an old tooling at least 10 years!

I've done a few other ICM figure sets and I agree very nice molding for for plastic!

Just bought this kit myself and agree with your comments. It retails here for £28.99 so I think yours was a bit on the expensive side.

That may be, but $45 for 2 aircraft and 7 figures still works for me!

Looks like a lot of good value for the money👍🏻 They only held back with the instructions: black/white painting schemes and sliced up versions on one image. Ive seen this only on ICM kits, wonder where they have the idea from🤷🏼

Yeah, the instructions are quite a let down!

Probably the best Spits in this scale till the Eduard kits came on line. 1. You get a lot of spare parts / figures which is great 2 I found a few sink marks on mine..especially on the wings by the ailerons. 3. The engine panels won't fit if you include the engine as well.. Otherwise enjoy it

I would purchase and build this kit… My biggest weakness is I like to put my models on some kind of display or diorama Can never have enough diorama accessories… We have a IPMS Show coming up, KIT BASHERS of NORTHWEST OHIO… PERRYSBURG OHIO… I’ll have to look for this kit… Looking forward to seeing what you do with this kit CHRIS 🇺🇸

For sure, out of the box this would make a great dio, but could easily be combined with other stuff to stretch out the value!

I found the Mk VII a tricky build.

ICM Spitfire has significant geometry flaws: too narrow fuselage behind the cockpit, wrong spinner length and diameter and too slender radiators under the wings.

Indeed, there is a fair amount of flash on the kit.

Greetings from England Brett. I had a similar surprise in reverse. I purchased an ICM 1/48 Spitfire Mk. IXc and the figures were in the box aswell! Neat. Only the one kit but That's ok because A) that's all I was expecting and B) I REALLY dislike what happened to a thing of beauty that is the Spitfire when they gave it those awful ultra pointy wings. Glad it didn't last. Anyhow, the kit I purchased with bonus figures cost me the equivalent of $21 U.S. (£17 stirling) I was happy with that. As a request can you hurry up and build the figures as I have never attempted them and I value your skills immensely. Cheeky, who me?

Yeah, the extended wing aren't my favorite either, yeah I might build up the figures sooner rather than later. I'm also working on some German figures at the moment that are also ICM, they are very nice and high quality.

The ICM Spits are not fun builds.... get your putty ready! The wing fit at the roots and under the fuse need a lot of attention, patience and filler. Alo its a pain that if you dont want the engine displayed you still need to build it to help with nose fit etc.
