That's a beautiful looking kit, I like that it comes with it own photo etch, it's a nice touch that Miniart needn't have done, but they did.

My three "white whales" this year are both of Miniart's renditions of the P-47D and Eduard's Overlord dual combo. For the latter, I think I'm passing on the royal class edition, but we'll see... I know I only have like one day left to preorder lol.

Yeah, the new Eduard P-51B has been very high on my Wishlist and I'm really looking forward to its release, I think I will opt for the royal class, just because I like the extra options they come with, but I think the Overloard combo will be great as well, has some really nice marking options!

Interesting, I'm curious what you don't like about the cartograph decals. Fortunately there is no shortage of aftermarket decals for the Thunderbolts out there!

@HammerheadModelMaking on at least 3 of my builds, the cartograph decals tore so easily, it was frustrating, so now if any kit I buy has them, I just buy different aftermarket decals.

It is silly that kit makers freak out about including the swastika in model aircraft kits. Having that as the kill markings ruins the look of the final result

It's not a matter of fear, this is just be compliant with local regulations. In several major European countries they are forbidden. Since it's costlier to differentiate production batches, they remove them altogether.

Even more ironic is the kit is made in the Ukriane which has a deep rooted Nazi influence even until this day.

Eduard does it best, they have all of the swastikas to one corner of their decal sheet, and if the kit is going to a market that has rules against it, they just cut that part of the decal sheet off.

Meh, it doesn't really bother me. I hear arguments for their inclusion (I think Brett even has a really great explanation), but personally I'm not including them on any German aircraft I build from here on out. But Eduard definitely has the most elegant solution, as pointed out.
