@@chrishenderson420 on what basis are you comparing them to top musicians? Cuz they are probably the most technical musicians out there at the moment. Success wise, they're not at top.. but their recent album did reach #1 in billboard hard rock .. and probably around #30 in top 200 ..so they're getting there.. also, since they are just a musician band with no vocalist.. its a very difficult path for them here on to come into mainstream...

@@SlapB0X Uh LOL they are not even close to the most technical...widen your view my friend. They also get way more airtime than any other current "rockband" even though they would be considered modern prog. So not sure what you mean by not at the top. They are probably the most popular non vocalist band ever, but they are far from the most technical. Just search up technical guitar players on YT and you'll find a bunch who could blow them out of the water.

The use of transients plays a big part too. It’s still loud but the producer didn’t smash the crap out of everything. This allows for a deeper feel when quieter parts actually get quiet. Unlike in America where every song is practically a rectangular block when you look at the sound waves.

Check out Stanley Jordan. Sometimes he plays with a band, but not always. Like Ichika, he primarily does two-handed 8-finger tapping, so he really doesn't need accompaniment

You weren't lying when you said "I poured everything into it." The meshing of techniques was really shows how far you've come with your guitar playing skill. It looks like Takumi went over 100% as well; The shots are amazing and the film grain is a very nice touch. Great MV all around

I think what attracts me to Ichika's playing so often is his use of melody and phrasing. It very closely resembles a lot of Zelda music, or at least gives me that vibe and it's so nostalgic and comforting I love it.

Unbelievable. The level of mastery required to play such a complex and beautiful piece is absolutely insane.

You guys absolutetly killed it with everything; The vibe, the Cinematography, the Melody. Kudos to the entire team!

From the musical phrasing and transition of each section all the way to the cinematography, just perfect.

Angelic tones flowing like ocean waves.

Man, he would make a great OST for a movie or anime and it will be a memorable masterpiece.

This sends goosebumps all over me.

yeah absolutely blown away - just an unheard of level of artistry married with outstanding production - so glad I'm able to be alive at the same time - so endlessly inspired. just the uses of dynamics alone in ichika's playing communicates so much and really reminds me of why i developed nothing short of love for music. looking forward to this album immensely.

The man is so dedicated to the practice of his art that grass and moss literally grew on him and around.

This piece just transcend me into a realm where no pain exists, just angelic Melodies which heal all the scars this world gave me. I find no other way to describe the feelings this piece gives me. Ichika is such a genius musician and yet his channel is pretty much dead. Feel so bad that his compositions are not getting the recognition and appreciation they deserve. I genuinely feel sad for him 😞

I think it’s sad people base music off popularity. If he’s doing what he likes, then nothing else matters. Besides, all his music is super repetitive and Devo had better wardrobe in the 80’s. Just calling balls and strikes
