Here is a short video from day 39 of Rob's Iceman build. Today I resharpened the binding scraper and scraped the overspray off of the binding. I may not have explained the reason behind scraping over taping off the binding. That is because no matter how good the tape claims to be, the edge of the binding will never have that razor-sharp lines without using a scraper on the binding. I doubted this myself, but it is 100% the truth.
After scraping the binding clean, I sanded and cleaned the body and neck surface, preparing the guitar for its clear coat.
I sprayed a total of 4 coats on the body and 1 on the neck. This will now be allowed to cure for a week. At that time, I will assess if the guitar needs more clear coat or not.
If NOT .. on to final sanding and polishing !!!
