The shaft houses are pretty much awesome for anything that swims in the lake... This summer I got a personal best smallmouth off off of the riprap right where it transitions to mud/sand bottom...

We agree, good for big walleye as well at times.
I'm from Ontario Canada. Its amazing how many huge Lakers you caught in one day. Good fishery. Nice job guys! Even here it's hard to catch multiples of what you got in a day. I'm jealous

+Levi Hagemeister believe Navionics is the best contour map available for Fort Peck right now.
Love this place. Make a trip out here every year. Looks like you have better ice then we did last year. What time of year did you guys go? We had a lot of success with that same Calm flutter leach.

Hi Matt, Both Jason and I were using the new Clam Pro Tackle "Frost" lines. I was using the 10# braid on the spinning reels and I believe Jason was using the heavier 15# braid on the casting reels. It is the best braid I have found for fishing outside, almost zero line freeze up.

Is this a lake where no minnows are allowed to be used as bait in the winter? I agree it did look like the fish had spit it up...

Watched your lake trout fishing on FP. Hope it wont happen there like it did in Flathead Lake in NW Mont. and in Yellowstone Lake in the Y P where they overtook the lakes. Any fish you catch must be killed since the cutthroats have declined so bad in the park. In Flathead Lk. the bull trout & kokanee have diminished, and those lakes are very large lakes. Time will tell what happens.
