It's a guy thing to leave the knife out and bread and butter out because we might want to make another and not put everything away just to take everything back out. Then things happen and we forget that we left it out. We'll eventually put it away just not right at this instant.

I like the ice saw. We just bought a BPS ice fishing shanty and will do this now with my wife. She likes the video. Looks like great time spent with wifey. Don't have to buy tip ups or those little poles. Going to try in the harbors on Lake Michigan in a few weeks. Perch, Steelies, Browns maybe Pike! This and skiing will make the winter fun.

A common mistake by some fishermen/women is to grab their line when trying to land a fish. When one does this the list to shock absorbing capabilities of the fishing pole. Lead the fish to the short with its heading pointing to the land and keep tension on the line so that each time it flops, it comes onto the land and when it is safely away from the water, then unhook the fish. Use string in your pole to absorb the shock of the fish so it has more difficulty in throwing the hook.

my biggest flex is one time I was on a boat with my whole family fishing and I hadn’t got anything for like two hours and then randomly said oh my God, I see a fish I was completely lying and then I passed it out and literally within three seconds, I got a bite and pulled in a little halibut. keep in mind we were in a river in Massachusetts that was connecting the ocean to like a bay. I think so. This fish should not have been there in the first place, but it was genuinely the funniest thing I’ve ever experienced.
