So for why Hell is so Icy, It probably comes back to Dante’s Inferno which pretty defined a lot of Hell imagery, the lowest levels of Hell were actually Frozen because they were the place that was furthest from God’s Light.

Yup, and if I remember right, that's where Satan is. Frozen in the ice with only his head above the ice. This is the inspiration for Levistus being frozen in ice.

None of Dante's Inferno is accurate to the biblical hell right? So millions of people were deceived this whole time!
In previous editions, magic was said to emit ultraviolet light. Ultravision, as possessed by the gelugons, was the ability to see magic.
How did y’all forget Zorak’s and Moltar’s names? But, I do appreciate the tie-in… I will forever voice ice devils like Zorak
Been going through older videos making sure I upvoted everything. Thank you for your work.
Oh yes. I'm hyped for the new year now. Happy holidays and i wish the show and all its friends a kind and awesome new year.
I'm running an adventure in Stygia this weekend so this is absolutely perfect timing guys! Thank you for your excellent work on the year of the fiend! The only thing I wish you guys had covered that you didn't was Geryon. Here's hoping you get around to him sometime soon!
Excellent as always dudes!👍also shout out to demogorgon and his ixitxachitls homie!🤘
16:00 In my game infravision (detect more visible light) can see invisible creatures or some types of illusory magics
Great episode guys! As bummed as I was about how scant year of the fiend was (I am fascinated with d&d fiend lore) I am definitely looking forward to year of the artifact. Hope you do a Wand of Orcus episode.
Awesome as always. Thanks guys. Also I'm almost done with a book series I think you guys would really like. It's called the Brimstone Angels saga. It's about tiefling warlocks and asmo and all kinds of great fiendish stuff. Explains alot of the changes as well. Check em out if you get a chance. First novel is actually named brimstone angels so shouldn't be hard to find lol.
Unfortunately the year of the fiend has come to an end but the King of Sin never sleeps. Check out the Brimstone Angels Saga for all your fiendish desires and discover the truth of Azuth, Asmodeus and the Toril Thirteen. (Chronological) *Brimstone Angels *Lesser Evils *The Adversary *Fire In The Blood *Ashes Of The Tyrant *The Devil You Know If you want an amazing, fully fledged, deep story please read these books. Shout out to Erin Evans for writing one of the best stories I've ever read.
Dm judgement: If you are incapacitated you are in the wall.
Zorak (the mantis guy) and Moltar -was he a robot? I thought he was just a guy in a heat resistant suit?
With the dome, you would single out one person and trap them inside in a death match. Prob why their CR so high. A DM using tactics with this thing would be a nightmare.
The anime/manga series Overlord has a ton of DnD influence, but my favorite is the character Cocytus who is pretty blatantly a DnD Ice Devil, even down to using a spear.

He uses a halberd or a katana / massive great sword. The illustrations are not accurate about the nature of divine class artefact.
Currently going through all spotify episodes for the first time but hell I can Do that with youtube as well
The back half of this episode was like a Frigidaire commercial 🤣
The ice devils are my favorite.
Fun fact in the early days Balors were called Balrogs and halflings were just straight up hobbits. The the Tolkien estate found out..
Yes!! I got like number 23!! Let's Goooo!!!!!!!
Zorak and Moltar!
LETS GOOOOOO
I think siri might be an artifact.
But... those are buggies.
None of yall listened to this before commenting lol
