This shows the harsh reality, he is an amazing singer for sure but due to the situatuion he's into. He is forced to do construction to provide food on the table. He really wanted to be a singer he tried going to seoul because that is his passion but as reality kicks in he needs to make a choice. Good thing he didn't totally give up on singing. Goodluck 😁

I've watched many videos of "I can see your voice", even in other languages without subtitles. In my opinion, Ji Dong-guk is one of the best singers on the show. And there were many very talented singers and a lot of tone deaf singers as well. I really hope with Seulgi being there and seeing her friend again she can pull some strings to help her friend live his dream of becoming a singer. Some big company like JYP, or YG needs to sign him quickly.

The way Dong-guk and the production team concealed his face as if they KNEW Seulgi WILL DEFINITELY recognise and remember him tells you a lot about Seulgi's character, even after all the years apart, the limelight and how famous she gots, she remembers all the people that had been with her. She even recognized their other friends in the audience and acknowledged them on-air. I just feel Seulgi is the most genuine person I have seen in KPop, maybe even the entire limelight. Everything I see from her and every story I hear about her, after debut, and especially before debut makes me admire her even more. ❤️✨

On a deeper level, I cried my heart out for the reality of how in the beginning, school puts him and her on the same level but that changed completely after graduated. I am by no mean to downgrade construction workers, but we know there's difference in status level when it comes to career, and in this case, between a singer and a construction worker. Different situation, but the same analogy, I have been in his shoe. Seeing how my friends climbing up the graph and how I stayed at plateu. It hurts to the deepest.

I'd like to hear them sing a duet. I feel like their voices would work well together.

I always cry whenever I hear and see this performance of his. Giving up his passion temporarily just to make mends and provide for his family is a noble thing to do. Please listen to his original songs his name is Ji Dong Kuk (for those who didn't see his name from the subtitles)

There're people asking why she didn't give her friend a hug and questioning her friendship with him with statement: if she's really friend with him she should give him a hug on stage . For me, If Seulgi didn't give him hug on the camera it doesn't mean she's forgotten about her friend, it doesn't mean she's not sincere. Every people have their own reaction for certain event because of certain reason. Just look at her eyes, how fast she's notice her friend when he open the helmet, how she's said he is her friend not just a friend from high school, how she's notice her friends in the audience, how she's trying so hard to hold her tears and how she's so proud telling to all people that her friend really good at singing and very talented. Anyone who knows Korean or Asian culture in general wouldnt question why Seulgi didnt hug him.

He’s really good. The way he use his mouth is something does by a skilled singer. Like when you should open your mouth wide when singing high notes

Seulgi most likely knew what he went through, look at her reaction at 5:27, when he’s being asked the question you can see her facial express instantly changes…🥲 I also think one of the reason why she was so surprised + touched is because she gets to see her talented friend finally able to perform on stage.

I don't know whether this guy has had vocal training, but it's a pretty serious feat and genetic gift to be able to hit a D5 at all, let alone on (probably) the biggest stage of his life at that point.

The fact that now he has now signed up with a company and releasing songs and pursuing his dreams is what makes me so happy, hopefully he and Seulgi are in contact too
