Thanks man! I'm glad you're enjoying your guitar! Something I just learned: If your intonation starts to sound off, change your strings. My guitar starting having pretty bad intonation-sounding issues. I changed my strings and it returned to its glory. I'm not used to nylons, so this may be a well known thing - similar to how regular strings sound "dull" after awhile. Hope you continue to enjoy it!

Dude! I cannot believe the cost to performance. The only thing that sucks is changing strings and everyone asking you if you can play Polyphia lol. There are some ball end classical strings called “folk strings”. I’m finding traditional nylon strings do not last long, so I may try those next. We’ll see

Idk where you got that impression haha. Outside of the Gios, they’re known for being the shredders guitar. However, they’re priced way more reasonable that American brands. It kinda blows my mind. I got a MIJ rg for $800 and it’s one of the best playing and made instruments I own

I don't know if it's him or his followers, but I've had several students come to me for lessons who have a "guitar is sport / competition" attitude and always reference him with "boomer" bends. I teach and play from an attitude of expression instead of competition. I enjoy what he's doing for the genre I love the most (instrumental prog) and I love what he's done and continues to do for the guitar community. I haven't really put a lot of time in understanding Tim, so maybe it's just the lack of understanding. However, I have nothing but respect for his art and what Polyphia has accomplished. They're paving the way for smaller artists, like myself, to get into the game playing instrumental music.

This comment came at an interesting time. I played it for the first time in over 2 months last night. I struggle with nylons, honestly. I'm so used to my steel string guitars that the nylons are so janky in comparison haha. When the nylon strings are going bad, the intonation goes with them. Nylons also take a long time to break in, I found over tightening by a half step+ really helped (Thank you for sharing this Toby, if you're reading this). However, I enjoy the neck and like using it in my mixes. i had to do a Game of Thrones cover for school and this nylon was the star of the show. I thought about selling this one to get a Godin / Seagull nylon, just to see if the nylon issue I'm having is a result of nylon strings or build quality. The guitar feels like it is really well made (I mean, it feels like an Ibanez haha) and I got it from $550 from a local store. I am spoiled with high end electric guitars, so my ear is trained on having really precise intonation. I also usually play it acoustically, so I could be the culprit. I'll start playing it again more often through my Tone Master Pro and report back with my findings. Maybe I'll make a Tone Master Pro guide for nylons... Thanks for the inspiration / comment! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

It s just an another guitar in the market And the acoustic nylon sound is not solved still plastiky nylon .. I Used to have a yamaha nylon solid body guitar (black clr) sounded much better with its only piezzo pickup at that time now twenty years after not too much progress in term of concept nylon acoustic guitar range.. Yamaha still affordable and better.

Sounds bad tbh, but it's a cool idea for maybe 5% of nylon string fanatics who want something different to play at night.
