Five years ago, this song significantly changed my life. I listened to it on repeat while going through one of the worst times I've gone through. It made me realize everything in my life I may love, but it was making me miserable. "I know I'll never feel the same, but I want happiness." It really stuck with me. Honestly, if I never heard this song my entire life would have gone drastically different. Because of this, I got {X} tattooed on me, to remind me I can Choose happiness. I did it before, and I'll do it again. I made it through all the rough spots before, I'll make it through anything. Thank you Chris, for being that light that I needed. You may never know it, but your music brings me so much happiness and inspiration I never have found in any other music.

Hey Miss Alizabeth Nova? Would you do me a favor please? If you haven't already, please take what you just wrote there and send it to him personally. Even if you don't think he'll care or it matters, would you do it just for me if you don't do it for any other reason? I know personally as a musician if I heard somebody say something like that about something I had written it might just actually truly bring him some peace of mind and happiness for real! Do it however you're most comfortable. Cut and paste it and send it to their page. Or if you're like me and you like to go to shows, just tell him after the show in person what you wrote! That would I think that be the most gratifying cuz you would get to see that reaction on his face when you tell him that. But I don't know how shy you are, perhaps just sending it as an email might be easier for you. All I know is I'm sure he will not forget that. And it may not be the craziest idea to think that he might even NEED to hear that. More often than not, when you're in entertainment, especially when you're in front of the camera the performing type, nothing seems to fill that void, that hole in our souls, that bottomless pit of yearning because something is lacking either in our pasts, our upbringings, or our chemical imbalances that were born with just simply aren't the same stable levels as most others. But there's something about performing that puts the most gratifying, long-lasting, and probably the healthiest Band-Aid of a quick fix on that wound, usually each and every time you get the privilege of performing for an audience. That's why it's an addiction for us. But at least it's a healthier addiction than most other things that we tend to turn to again in in that industry. But hearing something that deep from somebody who listens to the stuff you create to fill that void and to know that it means something equally as important to you if not more important to you, this probably does something even deeper than performing. It's the kind of thing that when you're in some weird bed later that night on tour, cold, alone, and just trying to make through these last few dates and having a hard time remembering why you're doing all this and struggling so much as an artist when really you could go the easy route like everybody else and find a sugar spouse to take care of you and just surrender to a simpler life, a boring but cushy job, because doing what you love as an art as a lifestyle, costs you pretty much all of your life. But when you hear something like that, all of a sudden, it just becomes clear again as to why you putting yourself through all that struggle, and why you started doing this in the first place.

+Carlos Henrique Möller The song is amazingly powerful and the video brings that out in a special, particular way - an authentic "scream" - as a feeling actually, not just an effect of some feelings - can be "seen" in it. I love this music for how it makes me feel, how it... I don't know, unleashes emotions within me, I guees. Love to all IAMX fans!

This is ART. The very theatrical and intense expressions since 0:33, then 1:28, 1:57, 2:28; 2:45...(without counting the perfection of Chris' glances) they all moved me so much at first sight. Congrats to Chris, Janine and everybody who joined the making of this video. I'm a fan since 2008 and I still feel thrilled by IAMX.

maikusch i like IAMX/Sneaker pimps quite a bit and i think the album he did with jim abyss was his worst so far. i listened to the album a few times and it just didnt have that warm analogue indie buzz his other stuff does. even now it sounds more sequenced then played. his sounds have become too refined and clean. i hope the rest of his album is better than 'happiness'. good song but not much of a grand or deep statement in the song.

+GabrielMynd I dunno, The Unified Field had some incredible songs on it. I think Under Atomic Skies might be my favourite IAMX song. But generally Kingdom of Welcome Addiction is my favourite.

Iamx is so underrated . I relate so much to the music. Every bit of it is so good. I never get sick of it.

This is BEAUTIFUL! Congrats to the team and my talented friend Buddy Daniels Freidman who's doing some great work!

Even the way he released it is genius, he has always been one of the leaders of independent music. It's not public, so no ads!

Exquisitely filmed. The water droplets feel like crystals and glitter spangled across the grim, noir palette. Truly artistic.

I had the ugliest meltdown at an IAMX show, months ago, and couldn't bring myself to put the music back on since that night. Well I finally did. And it feels amazing. His music's been a huge help in getting better, and now I'm picking up that fight again.

Brilliant lyrics/video visuals on the state of our delusional seeking of external stimulus for our perceived 'happiness'.... Born 'innocent' and bombarded with endless societal programming,, it's our impulse to 'escape' via any means from an often 'cruel world'. Self awareness is inspired here to grasp the hypocrisy of such a world and seek 'inner sanctum'.

You are genius.... I am speachless after looking at this masterpiece, shaken by the depth of the combination between images, lyrics and sound. I haven't regreted once that I have tattoo'd IAMX on my hand since I have first seen you in Bucharest. I grow even more proud of it with every passing day.
