Ғылым және технология

Health professionals, including Dietitians, play a critical role in helping consumers navigate conflicting messages on nutrition and food safety so they can make informed dietary decisions. Recent reports issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), and conflicting social media messages have added to the consumer confusion about the safety of ingredients added to foods like non-sugar sweeteners. This webinar will provide health professionals with a comprehensive overview of the US Food and Drug Administration regulatory review process for food additives including the food additive petition process and the Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) process. Attendees will understand the information reviewed including intended use, exposure and safety data as well as the standards established by the Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act (FD&C)
IAFNS is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). The Webinar: FDA Regulatory Review Process for Food Additives awards 1 Continuing Professional Education Unit (CPEU) in accordance with the Commission on Dietetic Registration’s CPEU Prior Approval Program.
