Lately in my area, I have seen an unusual number of people blatantly running red lights. It’s getting out of control. I think it could be because of police shortages. My particular county has actually said they are “catastrophically low” on police officers.

Here in Sweden we just have to show licens. The registration is checked by plate (if they do). The insurance is such that if you do not have insurance on your car you will automatically be billed a huge amount per day until you get insurance or "pause" the "registration" and not use the car. Makes it less hassle for the police and also to be sure that everyone has insurance.

While I do wear my seat belt, I don't agree that drivers should have to wear them. Anyone under the age of 21 should be required but other than that it should be optional. If I get into an accident without one the only person I'm hurting is me.

I always carry my wallet in my back pocket all the time. With my driver's license/ID. I don't understand why all men cannot just carry their wallet in their back pocket. And in wet conditions you are more likely to get in an accident so no seatbelt could put you at risk of death!!!

As someone who works with the general public everyday it’s terrifying that many of these people drive. We need to start having people retest including a road test. Especially older people I see people everyday that can barely walk or see but they’re driving. Anyone over 65 should retest every 5 years and once you hit 75 every 2 years.

There are so many laws I disagree with. And there are lot of cops out there who are rude and on a power trip. This guy is not one of them. He is absolutely nothing but polite and respectful. And the laws they are breaking can kill people. I don’t even drive a lot for work anymore and the things people do are so incredibly dangerous and stupid. Not only could it hurt or kill someone… But, if you have worked for anything and own anything it can ruin you financially. Or end up in prison or a wheelchair and poooping in bag for the rest of your life. It’s not worth it. Just get where you’re going and keep it moving in life.
