I would say that content that comes from good college-level/professional runners are made by the least egotistical people. Most of the people that you see like that are either retired or runners that will inflate their times.

So happy to have you back posting! Love the videos. Edit after watching the full thing. My social anxiety could never handle talking to people at the start of the race. I always end up looking like such a casual runner because I avoid everyone possible.

Haha too funny! You should have tried to bend the shoes, to compare the stiffness of the carbon plates in both (farbon plate in the case of the falphaflys)

Interesting idea, would be good to use a HR strap and Styrd pod to see the difference in HR and power (i.e. effort and efficiency).

@@pandaman1968 Just my opinion, but I think some of the high-end racing shoes feel somewhat unusual or awkward when just walking in them. Personally, I think if I was having heel issues or any foot issue, I'd have a professional fitting and get a really nice, cushioned training shoe. I've heard a lot of nurses who are on their feet for hours love Hoka running shoes, so that might be an option, perhaps. Good luck finding something!

@@RunningOhioWithBlake this is because high end running shoes are not meant for walking or standing around in, they are meant to be efficient at marathon effort while running 4:34 mile pace.

I just bought a pair of falphaflys and to prevent the heel from falling off you can tie the laces around the loop in the back and the tie the laces back in the front.
