We ran this one course that is literally called Brenham Hillacious, theres this hill that spans atleast 300-400 meters. Then this huge hill at the end. Super tough

Mt. Sac in California for the 3 mile is hell, we run it as an invitational and for cif and it sucks, without spikes you feel like youre going to slide back down the hill

fr tho mt sac is super hard i opened on a 4:58 and died so bad on the hills and ended up getting 16:39

Brings me back to my XC days, we had a course with a hill that was so bad they had to embed logs in the side so some of us could climb it. And they made us run it twice! Darn thing was almost a 45 degree incline

I mean I ran a 5k, and it was uphill downhill every like 75 feet. We had to run through a literal river and the entire thing was a mud pit. THE WORST RACE OF MY LIFE.

Just ran a regionals meet like that in 8,000 feet in elevation too. I finished first and was the only one who ran sub 18 mins

The hardest highschool cross country course according to many on milesplit is the bull run invite, which is also the course for Maryland highschool state championship! I occasionally still go there for hill workouts, or old timesake! You should try it out if your looking for a short fun xc challenge

My favorite race was an out and back but near the end you had to run through a creek it was so fun!

That was such a wet week for Cross Country. My highschool team had the last race of the main season 3 days after this and the course was so muddy that everyone was about 2 minutes slower than normal, and its a pretty flat course. The winner of the boys varsity ran a 17:49 5k. The winner of the district meet wasn't below 17:30! For context the winner of the same meet last year (not the same person but still) ran a 15:30

jr usatf xc championships were in Kentucky last year and had a ton of hills. they weren’t huge but there were a lot. i somehow got a 30 second pr (we run 4ks as 13-14 yo)

I’ve been at a 3 mile course that’s also a golf course and the hills are crazy

Took my team years ago to the cobre inv in Silver city NM. That is the toughest course I have ever seen!

I was taking a tour at v-tech last weekend and I saw Tyler riding his bike around campus!!!

I can’t image that. I only just finished my last middle school race in 11:58 2 mile a new pr but no where near those times.

One of my meets at cross country I had to run up a 45 degree hill twice at the very beginning like a loop and one at the very end with 100m to go.

Yes it was awful and freshman year of high school, I went out 5:36 then finished 22:36

I’ve ran it before and it’s actually one of my favorite courses. The hills are very tough but I hurt my calf on that course. I ran it 2021 season and I’m a freshman.

Yea I’ve ran at it to it’s pretty hard especially with the big hill near the end

Those hills are nothing 😆. Our CIF Course has this tall hill. Lots of dirt and grass area. But Mt SAC is even worse than this and that course

Do an XC at parliament hill in London . That is the toughest course EVER (my opinion)

Parliament hill is definitely one of the worst (particularly when its muddy), but I raise you Loughboroughs’ Prestwold Hall and Nottingham’s Wollaton Park. Those can definitely be a lot worse than parliament hill

The West Virginia courses are super hard, my middle school course had way worse terrain then that

I never understood the one guy on the team that would always yell really loud during the team huddle pre race. Always felt like he wasted all of his race energy. I would always say the chant kind of softly because I was conserving my energy lol

Anyone here of the Mt.Sac course yeah that course is hell

The sound of spikes on hard surface hurts me.

I ran in a 5k xc course that had 1,236 ft elevation 😭

bruh I literally had a 3 mile invitational with 500 feet of elevation gain

I once ran a 3 mile race with 475ish feet of elevation gain- pure torture

“Harris in first. Jared in third, Alec in fourth, and Evan in fifth.” Ouch what about second place

This course is nothing compared to the one at centennial park. 70m tall hill as well as another 3 hills measuring 7m tall (rough estimation) and you gotta run it all twice.
