I went up the Mountain and FOUND THESE!

I discovered some petroglyph's that I had missed several times .. searched through some abandoned mines and tried to start a fire and cook my steak in a hail storm ... Thanks for watching

I got in touch with Old South Dog Boxes and they are able to make custom builds!
They are building me a dog box that will fit exactly what I need.
They make a diverse range of dog boxes, dog trailers, and bird rigs for bird hunters.

Skito Saddle Pads
I was in the market for a new saddle pad after my old one wore out.
Agnes, my riding mule, has a bad back and it makes a big difference to have a good saddle pad.

🤣🤣 1978 used to spend weekends fishing and hunting in CT by myself and dad told one day when I returned, cleaning out tent and gear " you were born 100 years too late" !! thanks for posting!
Thanks for the ride. I'm 62 and have also been saying the same thing for years now, "I WAS BORN 100 YEARS TOO LATE". "KEEP ON KEEPIN ON"

I think there are a lot of us .. Thanks
I love to watch Big Agnes' ears. Back I was working a mule team, a pair of Belgian Draft mules with Sam on the outside (on my right ) and his 1/2 sister Sadie on the inside, I loved to watch their ears. They used them in unison where their outside ears were moving back and forth listening for any danger while both of their inside ears would be turned in to me to hear my commands. Once a week I would take them out on an endurance walk using an empty logging arch (looks like a real tall chariot). On warm days as I would be traveling down long dirt back roads in the Missouri hills you could count on them to stop after a mile or so under the shade of a large oak tree on the edge of the road. More often than not they would stop in the shade and leave me in the sun. They were a real pleasure to work.

Sounds fun .. my Ruth mule is broke to drive but I have never done it and have no way to do it .. maybe some day I would like to learn .. Thanks
Ages ago, I taught Senior Army ROTC there. One weekend, I helped set up an orienteering course for the rest of the cadets on the south side of that mountain. Beautiful piece of country and the terrain is broken up with deep arroyos that provided for a challenging course. I love your vids because I have been to some of those very same locales!

Brett you and I could be best friends, we have a kindred spirit. I look forward to your videos. I explore southern Nevada not on a mule though I wish I could but in a buggy. I look forward to your videos... God speed, glad your feeling well.
Those petroglyphs do mean something. They find the same ones all over NM & AZ. Like that spiral one. I’ve seen it up at Fence Lake clear down to Animas. Merry Christmas, you all!!!!!
Brett, please be careful in those mine shafts. We had to rescue a couple hounds from a vertical shaft one time when they ran in a shaft and fell about 30feet. Very dangerous. Really enjoyed your trip. Merry Christmas.

Yes, but I heard him say to those dogs "Stop! that's enough! Then he quickly left so they would follow him out! I was worried about the same thing at the same time. That's why the vet's tell us not to take our dogs out like this, but some know it's irresistable! I once had to carry a 70 lb dog farther than I wanted to. (to get back to the vehicle.) $2000 later she was good as new!!

Especially since those appear to be real hounds! Follow their nose to perdition! My family stories include one about how mad my granddad was, lost his hounds in Mt. Lassen country, only caught up with them because they'd worn their paws bloody.
Love Agnes ❤
Brett, thanks for the adventure!
I like your Christmas hat! Merry Christmas to you and yours, as well as the mules and hounds.

@@BrettVaughnB100 you're very welcome sir and merry Christmas!
That was a great ride! I don't hunt much anymore but I do love exploring our SW history and land. This vid really showcased that, thanks! It was my Christmas present today.... I've been getting back into shape with desert hikes about 3 miles or so at a time. I'll build up the mileage over the upcoming weeks so I'll be ready for some spring adventures. That car you found reminded me of a couple of hidey holes I've found near here for illegal crossers. Watch your 6 out there pard! Oh! Almost forgot! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS!
Merry Christmas to you too!! God bless!
Brett thanks again for taking us on your adventure. I'm with you on not liking caves or any hole in the ground.
This was great. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks keep up the great work Merry Christmas

Real nice video. No tight places for me. Merry Christmas to you and your family, Brett.
Thanks Brett and Merry Christmas! The circle means a place that you come back to. Not sure about the others.
Where I live, most roads/trails with hand-stacked rocks in the gullies were originally wagon roads to a ranch, homestead, or mine.
You had to work for that steak lol Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Merry Christmas Brett I hope you have a great one

@BrettVaughnB100. It makes sense to me. I grew up southern NM and there are many treasures to observe.
Thanks for the videos from the area that I spent my first 42 years. I spent a lot of time with my father exploring and later on whenever I had a jeep but never spent much time in that desert on horseback. Too much trouble to pick up the horse trailer then get the horses. Reminds me of my younger days exploring that desert. Merry Christmas from a Crucen living in Arizona now

Merry Christmas to you and your family. Thank you so much you have really taught me a lot about this beautiful state we live in.
