I Went Game Hunting and all I Got Was This Lousy T Shirt!

Welcome back to another live game hunting where I go around charity shops, pawn shops, CEX anywhere I can find games and game related awesomeness!
We’ll also be looking for anything we don’t need for the collection to either trade into CEX for in store credit or to sell for a profit on eBay to help build the collection.
Here’s the thing, whenever you go out hunting you never have any idea what you’re going to find, if anything so hopefully this time we have good luck as we go hunting in Ipswich.
We’ll be hitting up charity shops, pawn shops, GAME, CEX and the best gaming shop in Ipswich, the Retro Realm, owned and ran by legendary KZreadr @SEGAZombie and I stumble across and absolute Holy Grail of SNES collecting, and this leads onto a very important debate, the price of retro game collecting and specifically the difference between boxed and unboxed retro.

Always great to catch up with you Dan, thanks for the kind words on the Realm. Nintendo cardboard has always commanded a high price and as each year passes it gets more expensive

Thanks mate was good to catch up to and really enjoyed the visit! This is another thing to consider with boxed cardboard, when to buy, as like you said it just gets more and more expensive over time

Probably a personal grail to me, was the Borderlands 2 Loot Chest Edition on PS3. I had been after that version pretty much, when it came out. I missed the pre-order and I could only find it for a silly price on eBay, when it was released. Well last year, it came in stock at CEX for the first time in years and I had the credit. Bit the bullet and I was so scared. When it finally arrived. I open the box, get past all the hesh wrap and it was mint! I was so pumped! I'm looking at it right now and and it makes me smile everyday, as it is one of my favourite games of all time.

That’s an amazing collectors edition! Me and my wife are massive Borderlands fans and have been very tempted by my that same edition but like you said you just never see it! It’s amazing when CEX comes through like that, what a win!
I picked up that Techos cart sealed at Game Cheltenham for £17.99 a few weeks ago 🤣 couldn’t believe my eyes when the bloke bought it out from the back of the store.

That Wii U Assassins Creed game is a 'PAL AUS' version. It will play in all pal consols . WII U is not region free without hacking it.

That shiny Assassins creed on Wii U was Australian, and as I’m sure you know, is also PAL so would of played fine 👍

For all the flaws game have, I'm in total agreement Dan We should still hope they stay relevant and reinvent themselves under Ashley We don't have that many options as it is really these days to buy

Yeah it’s a real shame these days as there used to be loads of places to buy games on the high street which meant competition so they had to price well, now it’s basically CEX or retail prices
Ironic that you're rocking that t-shirt Dan, I've just spent the last 5 hours and 7 minutes with my son at Pokémon club where they play Pokémon the card game. The fact that it was 5 hours and 7 minutes should tell you how well my Saturday is going...... Have a good weekend Buddy.

Managed to get a half decent pick up this week from the charity shop, Xbox 360 e, 500gb, five games which would cost me £16 to buy in cex, controller looks like new all for £30

Same here, I managed to pick up a 360 elite for £7 from the same shop a few weeks back with no controller. So I now have two spare Xbox 360s. The one I got this week is £53 or£60 trade in but I'm thinking to just keep it for that price .

that second charity shops has had the same games in there for well over a year, shame to see but on the plus side i did get some 50 year old still in the package woody woodpecker socks for £2.50!

Agree with you 💯 on the tmnt tit. Its worth what its worth to you. Also tmnt is one of my fave franchises and side scrolling beat emups one of my fave genres

Exactly it comes down to personal preference when it comes down to games like this, and hopefully one day I’ll add a copy to my collection but until then at least I can play it!
I jump on the controller when it was 75 as I don’t think it’s going to go lower than that to be honest

Dan I don't think Game is going last must longer. I wish in my city there was inpendent games store like your city the nearest is Leeds or Leicester

Yeah I did see the news about them cutting contracts and hours, a real shame, especially for the staff but sadly seems like a case of very bad management. Hopefully a store will open in your area but again it’s very difficult to get going and survive sadly in the present climate
3:25 demo one for £10 Classic BHF I saw Minecraft X360 Edition for 50p in Altrincham BHF in a cd case

i got that double dragon plug play for 98p before a game closed down.

Personally myself I am happy with the loose copy and just wait to I find a better copy has that one had a rip . That assassins creed was Australian so it should have Been ok to work on your wii u . Gotta love that shirt 😅 . There's double dragon figures you need them 😁 . The evercade cart does turn up easily in the wild

At the moment I’m going to stick to my loose copy but hopefully one day I’ll find a mint boxed copy for the right price! Thanks for the info, the Australian copy was very cool! Don’t make me wanna search for more figures lol! Yeah the cart turns up quite often but it’s getting super expensive! Thanks for watching!
