I know it’s for the plot, but it’s kinda negligent to not make the power dampeners in the detention room extend to more parts of the school. Just saying “no powers outside of the gym,” won’t make teenagers not use their powers.

​@@zacharypogue4022 I agree. Like the title says, this is a lot like x-men. I feel like the main purpose of the school isn't to train heros or villains. I feel like in a society where people have superpowers, that society would collapse if those people weren't taught how to use their powers. The school offers a safe place for the students to learn how their powers work, a place where if they lose control, many of the students and faculty are capable of defending themselves and take control of the situation. Excessive use of power dampeners would increase civilian harm.

Remember that there are villains in this world, and it'd be a lot better if everyone was able to use their powers in most areas in that scenario, the detention room is for punishment.

I think this is one of Disney's SUPER underrated movies! It's so good, I had the fattest crush on Mary Elizabeth Winstead and I still do! She's super gorgeous!

@@BabySpiegel yeah. A lot of Disney+ original shows or movies based on older/nostalgic IPs were pretty disappointing and/or bad. But if they at least get the original cast/heroes on board (maybe even Kurt Russell making an appearance), it’d at least would make me want to watch some of it.

Disney wanted the film to be a bigger hit. Also, with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in theaters at the same time as this film also cost this being the start of a new superhero franchise of an original IP. The Kelly Preston death is a whole other matter that didn't play into the cancelation of this film's sequel & additional TV series.

The "big trouble.... downtown" line was a nod to the movie Big Trouble in Little China starring Kurt Russell

This movie is criminally underrated! Its honestly one of Disney's best live action films! I wish they'd expand this concept and develop it into a series or a sequel

In a time where superhero movies went grimdark, Sky High was the fun, skitchy superhero movie that reminded you of reading a comic book. If there was any superhero series that needed to be made, I'd had wanted it to be Sky High.

Why Warren went with the ice girl? He never talked to her. Did he just danced with her because she's cute? Makes sense to me! I would prefer if he was with Layla, he had an adorable relation with her; inviting her to the restaurant and comforting her after Will broke his promise. He looked brutal on the outside but has a big heart, Warren is a nice guy. Also, we never saw a character with fire and plants powers together. Would be fun to see.

Listen we all believe Layla (flower girl) should’ve been with warren 😂

And as she now has ice powers, Killer Frost, it would be perfect. Especially as at the end Warren ends up with a frost girl

30:12 The question being, would she remember to raise them to be villains but to be loyal to her or just to be villains? Because if she just raises them as villains, then what's to stop them from overthrowing her and killing her the first chance they get? The superhero dog movie you referenced in the beginning was most likely "Underdog." This was a 2007 movie based on the cartoon of the same name that was part of "The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show." This also was a cartoon series, not to be confused with the movie that had Robert DeNiro as Boris.

I absolutely LOVED Underdog as a kid! It's still a movie I think back on fondly and watch on occasion for the nostalgia and fun times.

This is a good movie. When I saw the first few minutes, I thought it was campy, but when I saw the rest of the flick, it has that meaning. Where the main character gets promoted to a new program, and had to say goodbye to his friends.

Linda Carter is the Og Wonder Woman, one of my first childhood crushes. This movie has always been a guilty pleasure of mine.

The guy that played Warren Peace was actually supposed to play Jacob in Twilight.🤷‍♀️

Actually Cathy Lee Crosby was the first live action Wonder Woman in the 1974 movie. Lynda Carter didn't take the role in the tv series until 1976.

@@omar174th6 Well it was a kind of forgettable movie. Only reason I remember it is because I'm was a huge Wonder Woman fan as a kid and it was the first time I saw her depicted in live action. However, Lynda Carter will always be Wonder Woman, Christopher Reeve will always be Superman and Michael Keaton will always be Batman for me.

I liked this movie. Not perfect, but anything with Bruce Campbell is an automatic bonus. Also, Rest In Peace to the Legendary Kelly Preston. And 22:12 - 22:34 is some of the best edits I've seen. Applause to editor.

Turned 9 in the Summer of '05 and remember seeing this movie after seeing a special of Totally Spies on Teletoon. This film is truly just a nostalgia blast me and my folks still remember and hold in a high spot. Any time I hear "Everybody wants to rule the World" "True." And "I'll melt with You" it always takes me back to this film. Still love it and can't believe an actual newborn infant born when h The movie was released is now basically done with School and a legal adults currently smh. Really fun film and vid as always bruh. Oh also that film with the dog and Corey singing the theme was for "Underdog." Fun fact, I actually saw Corey I person back when he was still popular in 2007 at a restaurant haha.

Man, I also was 9 that summer. I remember rewatching this movie like 8 times because I liked it so much. Talking about totally spies, there is a new session about it! The movie (special) is pretty cool with the new cartoon style

The "Adults representing what kids look like" from early 2000's movies is such a specific vibe that would be so hard to recreate nowadays. Like, it was a social disconnect because each generation's version of high school was and always will be different from one another, but I have a strange nostalgia for that specific brand. Where the world is divided into cliques and factions right down to the children in school. Makes "fighting evil" a lot easier

Ohh this is one of those movies that's great but no one ever talks about. Super underrated.

Growing up watching this was fun but now knowing the actors from other shows and movies makes this even better. Jim rash is so under rated

And they hit the handle that flushes the toilet... You are now swirling through probably miles of pipe, on a floating island for your school. How do they dispose of garbage and waste? Freeze it into a block? Burn it in an incinerater? Lasers? Drop it out of a chute where it drops 30,000 ft? See where there might be an issue?
