I think Shane’s previous apologies in the past few years made Drew reconsider his friendship and dip before things got really bad like they have in 2020. The past apologies were “accepted” (brushed under the rug, really) and so maybe Drew realized that was his time to distance

Like, back before then, Drew was his own person with his own channel but now (since Drew's involvement in the Spooky Boys videos and things like that) when people hear Drew Monson they will usually think "Oh, the other guy that isn't Garrett from Shane's channel."

Like, I agree he shouldn’t have done blackface and it’s messed up and worth addressing. But unlike Shane he didn’t write the joke and the blackface, he didn’t spend a decade making racist “jokes” and doing blackface, he wasn’t sexualising black children or making light of black peoples murders, and he didn’t profit and gain a massive following off a career built on things like that. Th shade towards Drew Monson is entirely unfounded. He’s genuinely one of the funniest and most intelligent creators on the platform. They aren't friends anymore, Drew's mental health suffered immensely from being around Shane. Apparently Shane was incredibly inappropriate around him, pretty sure they stopped being friends way before the current Shane situation.

Honestly the way they chanted this was extremely accurate because most of the girls on the team didn't wanna be there and were faking their enthusiasm. Not sure if that was intentional or not but it's accurate nonetheless.

I mean.. yeah kinda but also I wouldn’t actually say the jokes are grown up, because no actual grown up person would find them funny, and the actual jokes aren’t mature beyond the subject matter. The jokes have 0 actual joke and terrible execution, so really his audience was perfect for the jokes because they’re the ones young enough to hear a vaguely adult concept and just find it funny without needing it to work or make sense
