The one thing I do wanna point out is that Mary Gibbs, the voice actress for Boo, can barely stay in the recording booth for longer than an hour. So Pixar just followed her with a microphone on her so that we can hear her laughs, cries, and vocalizations.

I love the message they gave with how companies and manufacturers are. The way they portrayed clean energy vs dirty energy. They do it so well, with the kids screaming/crying and then how laughter is even more powerful. How easy it would have been to do some simple tests with some effort and they could have the clean energy. But the reason they said kids were "toxic" is for the public to be okay with the "torture". They lied so they can continue to use that dirty energy.

However, it also makes facial expressions too, which is creepy AF. The first time that my son saw it, he freaked out and was so scared that you could clearly see his heart pounding in his chest! My FIL felt so bad! I wound up finding a non-talking Sully and Mike, but I kept the other one, because it was a gift and I thought that it was cool. Hey Billy! Have you heard of the Pixar Theory? It's a huge hypothesis that links all the Pixar movies together as if they're in the same timeline. The Super Carlin Brothers have a great introductory video on it and add to it as new movies came out! I HIGHLY recommend checking it out if you wanna hear more about Boo (she has a pretty large role in it 😊😊)

When the monsters go through the door, they’re basically going through different time periods. It would be incredibly hard for the parents to track her or even find her at all. Then, when Randall sent the door back, he turned off the power, so it turned back into a regular closet. Her parents would not have been able to find her either way. Then I’m pretty sure time for her world slows down or stops. Because every time they open, the door is open to a dark bedroom that has no change to it.

I agree on your bit about learning other people's jobs helping with promotions. I entered the running for a higher position and the only reason I didn't get it was a lack of experience with other jobs in the factory. I'm in the process of learning what each line does so the next time around I can stand a much better chance.

I do seem to remember my kids having a Monsters Inc PC game, yes. I don't think you're a whole lot older than my oldest so I think that lines up. Also, you sound almost exactly the same, man. Just a little scratchy. I hope you watched the credits and saw them putting on the play they claimed they were rehearsing for.

I always love your reactions, but it was fascinating to watch this through the lens of the father of a little girl. I haven't really watched this since I was a kid (older than Boo, but a kid), and it always surprises me how good these Pixar movies are, even as an adult!

FYI for all those who enjoy older movies with incredible monsters…the restaurant Mike and Celia are at on their date is called “Harryhausen’s”. In real life Ray Harryhausen invented a form of stop motion model animation known as Dynamation. It was used in movies like “20 Million Miles to Earth” , “Jason and the Argonauts”, “Mighty Joe Young”, “The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad” along with many others. For me some of the BEST movie monsters ever thought of. Checkout these oldies for some fun! Cheers

Did you know that 2319 is code for W.S. (White Sock). W is the 23rd letter of the alphabet and S is the 19th. Hence 2319! 😊

Wahoo! I get to talk about the CDA code: 2319 is actually more clever than you think. The 23rd letter of the alphabet is W, and the 19th is S. Together, the code is code WS. What is the most common thing that gets brought back into the monster world? A white sock. 2319 is code for white sock. Just a theory, you say? Then let me offer up the other one that gets overlooked, from the CDA restaurant scene: 7835 = GHCE = Girl human child escaped Still not convinced? Here's the ones found in Monsters at Work: 1320 = MT = Monster trapped 418 = DR = Damaged room 42216 = DVP = Door Vault paperwork 1994 = SID = Shut it down
