I spent a total of 7 years in and out of jail and prison in Orlando FL. I have 29 mug shots!!:I left prison in 2002, to return to Ohio where my Mom and Sisters were. 22 years later I have not used cocaine, drink alcohol or smoke a cigarette. I am a recovery and addictions counselor. I also Pastor small church. Would love to share my story with you. Thank you for sharing all the lives you have.

There should be some sort of audit on their convictions. I believe it is a civil rights violation to be sentenced beyond the standard amount of time. Nonviolent Felonies 5 years max. I would have expected a huge amount of community service (300 hrs) 10 yrs probation & restitution.
20 years is absolutely devastating. I just can’t even imagine that amount of time for her crime. What a wonderful ray of light she is and I hope it just keeps getting better for her family and herself ❤

I don't care how corrupt the company is you steal that much money you should go away for that much time. If you really believe your comment your probably a criminal yourself. That's so fucked up. I am a small business owner and if you stole 50k I would try to make sure you got the max sentence. It's not a simple theft charge. It's felony theft of 300k. Attitude to gratitude? You get the dumbo alert big ears.
We had an employee steal about $75k by skimming employee tax revenue in miniscule amounts. To the extent some of these employees owed the IRS money. The company paid the back taxes, of course. But this lady did 2 years in prison. She had an opiate addiction and unfortunately passed away a few years after release.
Wow! What an incredible story! Girl you got screwed!! Your attorney failed!! So sorry you missed the years of your life that you did. Love her spirit.
You Always, Always, ALWAYS get a lawyer, guilty or innocent, bc the cops ARE NOT your friends!!
She seems like a really down to earth, likeable person. I ain't giving her my SS or debit card number though😂
Blessings to this woman for sharing everything, her regrets, the awful consequences of her actions, the effect on her family....what a likable woman and I am grateful she's out and has been able to continue her life. Murderers get less than twenty every damn day. I am so against prison time for non-violent offenses. The problem is that United States prisons are privatized (a crime in and of itself) and every prisoner (ESPECIALLY all those - and there are thousands - who commit non-violent offenses) bring in a pretty penny from the federal government for each and every head that gets locked up. It's a totally sick and broken system. The fact that she kept getting rejected for parole year after year despite it being a non-violent crime and after being a "perfect" inmate all those years until she finally loses it, loses her hope and starts acting up IS WHAT THEY WANTED TO HAPPEN so that they could keep her in the system and collect the money. This process of rejection keeps the money flow going. This is a fact.

I lived in TX for 11 years. Texas is Neither ‘racist’ nor misogynistic! Born and raised Texans treat women like ladies, the men carry grocery bags to the woman’s car, hold doors open for women, have a deep respect and admiration of women! The only people I met in Texas who were racist were from the Deep South; Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, etc. None of the ‘racist’ people I met were born and raised in Texas. I do, however, appreciate and understand your comment as you are an obvious liberal living in ‘progressive liberal’ Austin. All liberals think everything and everyone (except them) are racists and misogynists 🙄

I am tired of bring called a liberal just because I was born and live here by people who don't live here. Bring voting parties into the comments isn't even necessary. favorite interview. this lady has such a good aura about her.
I guess it just depends on who you know and how much influence that person has with the prosecutors. My half-sister stole at least that much money from a nursing home she worked at as the Nursing Home Administrator. She was married to a Texas Game Warden, and he apparently had some kind of sway with the prosecutor. She was convicted of embezzlement, and her punishment was to repay the money she stole. She received no jail time or fine. They are allowing her to repay the stolen money at about twenty-five dollars a month. Even though she's a convicted felon, she is still able to live around and own guns because of who her husband was. She has also stolen money from my mother for years. She seems to get away with everything.
She incriminated herself, she didn’t deserve that much time, 🤯 murderers get less time
20 years over money is sad! Make her work it off, but don't keep her from her kids for 9 plus years
