Bro those last moments when the couple changed their minds to thr point of even hosting you melted my heart.. I lived in Europe for sometime,the first impressions were usually negative but as people get to know you they actually become great friends..

As a Ukrainian, I am very ashamed of the negativity you encountered! and I am very grateful to you for your positivity and I think that you are doing a very important thing to unite people! Thank you!

My mom was born in one of the houses still standing in Uhniv. She was part of the Operation Vistula resettlement that occured in 1947 and ended up in Ostroda Poland. We now live in Cleveland Ohio and were blessed to visit Uhniv in 2016. We located the house her dad built and met the current owners. She has NOT been to her home since 1947. They welcomed us in with open arms and plenty of food. The "smallest city in Ukraine" has a mind blowing history. I am so honored that Joseph picked this destination for one of his many trips of "Breaking barriers and spreading positivity". I'm certain his new friends all know our friends there also. Thank you Joseph for such a heart-warming tribute to little Uhniv!!!! One little note: Joseph pronounced Uhniv as Ugniv (g vs h). The "G" letter used is a Russian pronunciation of this name. Understandably based on Russia's focused attempt to eliminate all things Ukrainian, particularly during the Soviet Era, even the locals there know the Russian language and were clearly happy to engage Joseph speaking Russian. But all things considered in 2023 Ukrainians are more than determined to reverse this influence of our culture and language, So again, thank you Joseph for your beautiful tribute to your visit in Uhniv, Ukraine!❤
