Try RS Electronics - there's a few branches across the UK, and whilst I don't imagine they will have oscilloscopes on display (they tend to be more of an order warehouse with just a small retail area), they do at least stock quite a few models, and I've found their return policy to be quite decent in the past if it turns out you need a different model/spec. .

Ahh i do miss Maplin, but I don't miss what it became in the last 10 years of its life, it went from a Hobby and specialist focused store to another generic consumer electronics outlet. You could still buy components from them of course, but the offerings dwindled as their focus shifted until its demise.

@@nezu_cc what was community creations? I don't think I've heard about that
@nezu_cc
Жыл бұрын
@@earthling_parth it was a system where anyone (aka the community) could make subtitles/CC for any video in any language if the creater enabled that. All the creator had to do was approve them once they were submitted. This not only enhances accessibility (yt autogenerated captions suck outside of a few languages google actually cares about) but also opens up the video to completely new audiences due to language barriers (again, automatic translation is shit). For example in the V-tuber community there were entire groups dedicated to translating English content and clips to Japanese and vice versa. They still exist, but now have to re-upload the same video multiple times because they can't just simply add them to an existing video. It ruins the reach of these videos drastically. Edit: there even was a petition that got over 500K signatures but KZread still removed it in favour of their autogenerated crap.

Two videos that are absolutely necessary. #1: describe every rasberry pi, each one's capabilities, strengths, weaknesses, components (i.e. 2USB ports), speed, memory on board, can they run windows, linux. etc. etc. #2: compute modules, what types are avail. what do they do, how they connect, what do you need to make them work, any add on's, what can they run etc. etc. I'm a 69 year old and, although I've been involved in "micro computers" since the altair 8800, SWTPC 6800, (1970's) - There was a time that I didn't follow the technology and need to catch up on specifics. I'm not 100% up on "github". Help us old folks to get up to speed on things... Last year, I found out about the Arduino. Thank you.
