@@DariStep I live in New York also on the west side of Manhattan. Apartments are expensive, with deposits usually required. Brokers might help with this. Look at Brooklyn and Queens boroughs for reasonable rents and use the subway. Your best deal might be the school dormitory with shared spaces. Roommates sharing an apartment may present issues, you might already be aware of this. Beware of scams, deals too good to be true, etc. Good luck and congratulations.

Earning a Masters in my case played a key role getting a very good paying job, so I think it's worth it. This might happen to you too if you earn your Masters which I hope it does if you do.

Congratulations! NYC is one of the most expensive cities in the USA. Good luck with your new adventure. I was born in the Bronx (one of the 5 boroughs of NYC). There is a TON of things to do and see. Have a great time!

My parents always stressed the combination of education, hard work and focus is the path to success....and you're definitely on your way! Everybody *wants* things in life. The U.S. has the third largest Russian population after Russia and Ukraine, though perhaps that has changed since the war, but there are millions of Russians living here, and there's a whole Russian neighborhood in NYC (Brighton Beach in Brooklyn) where you'll fit right in if you get homesick.

Hi Dari. When I was young, in the merchant Marines, I visited the state of New York a few times, Buffalo, and Niagara Falls. I have never been to The Big Apple, and have no intentions of ever going there. Too many people for me. Too busy, too much noise. I hope you make some videos when you get there. Are you kidding? That restaurant was beautiful. Here in USA you can barely go to McDonalds for $9 per person.

A wonderful school! My wife and I both graduated from St. John’s University. It is located in a very nice area of Queens and you’ll be able to travel to NYC easily! Easy access to Long Island and some wonderful beaches! Best wishes on all of your future plans!

My anthropology teacher encouraged us before visiting other cultures to jot down our conceived ideas of what a culture will be like. Then when arriving to note all of the differences, similarities, and new discoveries. Compare your notes with what you thought the culture would be. This just helps to broaden your awareness of places and people you encounter on your travels, and of course such awareness provides content for your channel. Good luck with your studies!
