I've had my Zetec Focus 2013 for about 7 months now, didn't know you could upgrade Sync! I need this

Man, you made it such a nice car. Really kind of jealous. I currently have a Skoda Octavia 3 but I would love to have android auto.

We’ve only got a lowly Zetec model but I wired our camera to the reverse lamp supply via the factory fitted parking sensor beeper control box except the camera screen is a monitor that clips to the mirror & acts as a rear view mirror itself when not in use , we ran the wires via the boot & cable boot into the ceiling along the roof liner into just above the mirror , quite straight forward but no upgrade to sync 3 planned at all as it’s going soon 🥲

Looks Great. I have a 2013 Ford Focus Titanium Estate with sync 1. Been slowly trying to modify it. Does Rowan source the system and fit it all? If so, would be great to have some contact details and discuss with him.

Where did you get this completed as I am looking to upgrade to sync 3 from sync 2 on my Ford Focus 2016 1.0 Titanium EcoBoost. Is it possible to go to a local garage and request this install. I know you said to contact Rowan Watson but was unsure where to find him for an enquiry?

Most local garages won’t have the expertise to complete the upgrade. You can find Rowan on most Facebook owners clubs. 😊

I think your best bet would be a breakers yard and then buying the harness/adapter off the likes of Rowan. 😊

Hi gents, so the total cost was £700 plus fuel for travelling which for me was £25. Not bad considering the upgrade you’re getting. 😊🤞🏼

@@xiolage for me I like the oem look on the sync 3 I'm now at the point do I spend any more money on mine as it's on 84k and I think would prefer to save for a new car altogether, did the guy supply and fit all the parts for you or did you have to source those yourself? If so where from please

I have a MK3 focus so i would like to know where to find this SYNC3 head unit even if its second hand. Fitment is a no bother but i want to know whether this is going to fit into a MK3 focus without having to change or do anything different.

Sourcing the parts can be a pain, and you will need a specific harness to convert from 1 to 3. Coding will also be required on the BCM.

I’ve just updated my sync 4 inch to sync 3 on my 2013 Focus ST do I now load my original as builts or the as builts from a focus with sync 3 as standard?

They’re awesome stereos, and still feels very OEM spec which I like. I got the wrap on Amazon however I did try order some more and the one I ordered was no longer available. It’s called VViViD Forged Carbon. 😁

Got a titanium X 2016 plate with a sync 2 system already in ..absolute crap the touchscreen is useless Defoe want to upgrade to a sync 3 ..car already has the reverse camera on so should save the hassle for that side of things... whats the area Rowan is roughly located in the UK i am down in the South West just wondering if he travelled all that way ? great video

Rowan is based up north I think in Sheffield but he did travel down to me in Worcester so I imagine he could. You pay the fuel price so may be a bit more expensive but saves the trip up to Sheffield. 😂😁
