Considering the limitations of Mario Maker, this is a excellent recreation of the scenes from the movie, though you forgot the scene where Mario and DK get eaten by a Maw-Ray.

Really clever! Would be more ironic if you could add a tiny Bowser at the flagpole in level 9 referencing him in a jar at the end of the movie

I would have loved having the Bonzi-Bill scene being used in the SMB3 style since it has the tanooki leaf, and Mario uses the suit in the movie [I know they're different power-ups in the game, but in the movie he never turns into a statue and still uses it like the leaf]. Would you easily be able to tail-attack the Bonzi-Bills? Yeah. But it's accurate.

That was a great recreation of the movie. You should make a super world out of it. :)

I would have used more 3D stlye for some scenes like the clear pipe in toad town or maybe de kart scene entering jungle kingdom but overall you did an amazing job! Hope you can upload it as a super world

Normally the enemy spam is an overused gimmick level, but here it’s unique and also it’s straight out of the movie

You should put this in a super world so we can all play this set of levels as they look awesome!

this is so cool! i did tried to make the training scene myself, and I found that for the part where Mario jumps on the bullet bills you can just use banzai bills. it is more accurate because the bullet bills had no arms and has a mouth

I played through all the levels, and They were all really fun!! You should really consider doing more of these kinds of levels for other films out there such as Disney animated films, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Shrek & other Dream Works films, etc. Heck, even do Sonic & Detective Pikachu (despite the mystery Mushroom not being in this game.) I’ll definitely play them!! Already subscribed to your content in that game.

I played it and it’s incredible seeing the behind the scenes. I love the little details like the pipe section and the superstar part at the end was a blast and so satisfying. Great stuff and worked well along side the movie

If you want to make it more accurate, you could buil it in SMBX2, a Fangame with the best level-editor there is (and you can evern play as toad, peach or Rosalina if you want). It also allows custom music, textures and scripts which removes all the limits SMM2 has. ( I hope something like this will at someday release from Nintendo.

it's so refreshing to finally see some good levels, i've been playing mario maker 2 for around year now, and its been so rare to see a level with thought put into the levels and to find 1 is just so refreshing and fun for me. most of the time it's just levels where you get separated from other players and you have to race them. i have played a total of 186 levels like that (yes i counted) so thank you for making these levels WAHOO

Honestly... should have put a big bob-omb and big ghost in the wedding scene instead of the goomba and koopa (you know, to represent king bob-omb and king boo)

Actually Brooklyn is not being destroyed by Bowser it is actually caused by the falling airship pieces after the wedding scene from the movie and then that's when Mario tries to save Brooklyn

Nice levels! I feel like you should've included a water level before the wedding scene though

Not bad, but I saw a few flaws in this. 1: In the movie, Mario goes through a clear pipe in toad town, but you didn’t make it. What I would’ve recommended is put toad town either all in the 3D world style, or make toad town 2 separate levels. 2: Mario was given a Mushroom every time he attempted the course, but you didn’t give that to us. It makes the course much harder!! 3: In the movie, Mario gets a cat suit when he fights DK, but he can’t get that in the New Super Mario Bros U theme. You should have made the fight against DK in the 3D world style! That also would’ve gave you a car to drive to Cranky Kong in! 4: The Banzai Bill Chase sequence recreation was OK, but Mario had a raccoon suit in the movie. What I think you should’ve done is change the style to Super Mario Bros 3 and give Mario a raccoon suit!

looks absolutely amazing… hopefully if MM3 comes out you get to change themes to whatever as that would definitely help with storytelling levels

7:33 Holy cow, THAT was supposed to be Bob-Omb battlefield in the movie!? I watched the movie twice, carefully watching out for more Easter eggs I missed the first time, and I somehow didn’t catch this one lmao. But yeah, now I see it… the canon specifically on a cobblestone mound, the ramp, the floating island with that one tree up there… absolutely astounding attention to details. Amazing movie and an amazing recreation of the movie!!
