I try to get a world record.
Feliks Zemdegs can solve a Rubik's Cube in 4.22 seconds. I can't.
But I can try.
In this video, Sabrina Cruz delves into the history and origin of the Rubik's cube, and learns how to solve one from the very best. She sits down with Rubik's Cube inventor Erno Rubik to learn what compelled him to invent the famous puzzle, and with world record holder Feliks Zemdegs to figure out how he did it.

This is an awesome video! Often enough we see videos about cubing for people who don't know much about it, but yours was different. The way you presented the information was true to cubing while also making it less daunting (because it really shouldn't be daunting). To be honest, anyone should be able to solve it by watching a tutorial, and getting faster is a super rewarding process.

Getting under a minute a month after starting with a Rubik’s brand Cube is phenomenal. Granted, most people don’t start out with the intention of becoming a speedcuber and the information you did, but that just makes it all better. It means you have the drive and determination to improve. And don’t worry about F2L. We’ve all ben through that. It’ll get faster.
So the live chat closes about 5 minutes after the video ends. I'll keep that in mind. Anyway, do you guys like premieres? I really liked being able to watch it and chat with y'all. I just finished several months practicing and preparing for, and filming a series of videos almost exactly like this one, except for the Classic Tetris World Championships (I went and competed in Portland last month). I find world competitions for niche sports/skills so fascinating, in that you can see the power of collective human minds and creativity for coming up with innovative new strategies for simple, popular games, and also find really tight-knit, amazing communities. Well you gotta start somewhere
I used to be a die hard speedcuber. I watched a ton of videos about cubing and I loved to chill out and do some solves. I loved going to competitions that were in my area. I eventually managed to get a sub 20 global average on 3x3, and I stayed there for a long time. I also loved other events, primarily 4x4 and 5x5. But about a year and a half ago, I somehow lost interest. I lost touch with the whole community and I haven't been to a competition since July 2017. Since then, I have been so occupied with everything in my life that I almost forgot about it. This video brought back so many memories. It is insane how different my life was back then. Also, I just noticed that I haven't unlearned it yet. CFOP still feels like instinct to me. I may not be as sharp as I used to be when solving the cube, but I can still do it a few seconds within my peak global average.

I've been to 1 more since, and I'm going to my 3rd comp in a couple of weeks, Feliks will be attending so I'm super excited to see some crazy fast averages. But could you at least mention, that the WCA exists? Otherwise people new to the subject might think that Red Bull is somehow the governing body of speedcubing.
meanwhile me: *spends weeks trying to solve a rubik cube once and never scramble it again after that because it looks so beautiful now*
Your videos are so well executed and interesting, you deserve WAY MORE SUBS
When i was a freshman, I ended up friends with, at the time, the 7th fastest speed cuber in North America. Watching his hands fire was like watching a surgeon's precision and a cup stacker's dexterity. One day he handed me a skewb and jokingly told me to solve it. Having actually no experience in any puzzle of this nature, it took me 1h25m. He was impressed so he handed me a traditional 3x3. I could have looked up the answers, but i felt that the fun of the puzzle was solving it. I took 3 months, about 20 hours total, studying the movement of the cube and making my own algorithms. In the end, i simplified all movement down to 6 algorithms--in 3 months, 6 very inefficient algorithms. I later solve the algorithms for the pyraminx in 20m and a 2x2 in 4m. I'm not a speed cuber, but with my method I average 48s and 16 seconds on skewb. That feeling of completion and persistence had me realize that after those 20 total hours, I made something that was just mine, and like you are with this video, it is something I am proud of.

Great video Sabrina. As an adult who picked up a Rubik’s cube for the first time a few months ago because his nephew “needed help” in fixing his Christmas cube aka I had to learn how to solve the cube. I picked it up and haven’t put it down. However you took cube emersion to an entire new competitive level and I throughly enjoyed watching your journey. Thanks for sharing and best of luck with your channel.
I really like this video! You are every time happy and enjoying the experiences and I really like! Keep going
Been here since the begining, love to see you grow and check off things that are on my own bucket list
How do you just keep on improving your content?! You're amazing! This was such a fun video, thank you so much for putting so much effort into making it

Dang, that was a lot of work and you totally rocked it!!! I was around back in the day when the Rubik's cube first came out and with the help of a book and about 6000 unnecessary moves eventually I was able to solve it in about twenty minutes. You kick ass! I really enjoyed your video. Thank you for posting such cool stuff.

This video inspired me to take up lettering. I love lettering and calligraphy and was thinking about starting for a while but I was afraid that I can't get so good at it and you showed me that it is ok to not be the best at something and still do fairly good... And especially enjoying the learning process and the achieved progress... and yea I'm going to take a class on lettering

There is a math-y Rubik's cube that has numbers in place of colors, and each surface is a number sequence of some sort. Give it a try, and see how long it takes you to figure out how to rotate the middles.
