    How did you get the fake-solve notation on your screen? Was that due to a specific function of your browsertimer or just luck what i really dont think it was.

    Reasons I subscribed : 1. You didn't have a 10 minute intro explaining what the title says. 2. You somehow fit some chuckley(?) comedy in there 3. The video actually has what is in the title (no clickbait is basically what I am saying) 4. Expanded and have more useful info on some of the terms. Keep it up

    Great video as Always. Even though, I am a fan of Mats Valk and a fan of you Jperm, this not very fair to mention the impact of the last F2L without mentioning my friends Ron Van Bruchem (ZBF2L), Lars Vandenberg and Dan Harris (VHLS). I remember that they worked on that long before Mats did.

  • @JPerm

    @JPerm

    6 жыл бұрын

    +Stephane Escaich Yeah but a significant portion of ZBLS(ZBF2L) is hardly used by anyone, I know of Anthony Brooks using it, and VHLS is not super useful in speedsolving. Significant portions of VLS is learned by many top cubers. I know that those other subsets are historically important, but I feel like right now VLS is more relevant.

    Permutation actually means something done in a specific order. like an algorithm. Also a door code is not a combination because a combination is something done in any order and a code is in a specific order so it is a permutation.

    hey j perm, i have a quick question. ur channel name is j perm, which is obviously the pll. ur profile picture is a picture of the j perm done on a 2x2. why is that? 2x2 isnt even ur main event, im pretty sure 3x3 is, and for the 2x2 picture, some people do t perms to solve it, not just j perms. i think it would be more fitting for it to be a j perm on a 3x3, but if theres a reason then id be happy to know

  • @JPerm

    @JPerm

    6 жыл бұрын

    +Chris Choi when making the channel, I googled j perm and this image was the best image that was simple, clean, and easy to recognize. I also didn't want a J perm with arrows because it looked generic and lame, but this one makes you think about it to realize it's a J perm, which I thought was fun. btw ur critique is probably the next video out

The feels when you spend your entire time finding something new just to realise someone has already done it... Its ok, I still have my own blockbuilding method....

    The basics are to use a lettering scheme (1 letter per sticker) and memorize letter pairs like IC = ice cream, and then make a story out of all the things you memorized. Another method is audio, such as memorizing HSTKEMO by trying to pronounce the whole thing. It's faster to memorize but harder to remember for a long time. What I do is memorize corners with letter pairs, then memorize edges with audio, then solve edges so i don't forget the audio, and then solve corners.

    The way I realized that your solve isn't official is because: I understood you got a scramble which was setting your cube in the middle of an Ortega alg. It is the easiest case in Ortega PBL. AND I KNOW THIS ISNT A WAY TO DETERMINE IT. The thing is that the entire alg is 3 moves long if you use the HTM method. That is how the WCA records it. AND THE MAIN POINT IS THAT, TO SOLVE A 2*2 CUBE, THE SOLVE SEQUENCE NEEDS TO BE AT LEAST 4 MOVES OR MORE ACCORDING TO THE RULES ON THE WCA Page. That is my main point.

    Probably a dumb question, but isn’t AUF a common cubing term that could use an explanation? I think it means that the top face isn’t correctly rotated after a PLL algorithm, but I can’t figure out what the letters stand for.

    if the algorithm that your using is Ortega, the two faces opposite of each other are solved solid if you just do a R or R'.

    The Casual Cuber. if you look at the other stickers, after making the two opposite faces he would have gotten the R2 F2 R2 PBL case, so he held one of the faces towards him to instead make it R2 U2 F2 which sped it up just a bit

    learn winter variation for the corners and then you have the cross and now you use 7 algorithims for that so you only have too learn 34 algorithims + pll algorithims so you don't have to learn all 50 something algorithims for oll and 20 something algorithims for pll that is what I plan on doing I guess

  • @ajmatlou

    For the fack 2x2 solution: 1 face matched the opposite side while the green face and blue face could be simultaneously solved in just one rotation. You will need a specific algorithm to so-call "shuffle" the cube in order to get that formation and is therefore a faked shuffle, am I wrong?
