    20:50 this happens when you mix water/fluid into tempered chocolate. It seems the moisture from the melted yogurt caused the chocolate to seize, next time you could put coconut oil to make the chocolate thinner or freeze the yogurt longer!

  • @ZTM12

    Coconut oil leaves a bitter aftertaste on chocolate. She can use crisco or vegetable shortening. 1 tablespoon. She also needs to make the clusters smaller and freeze them for a lot of time so they don't melt as quickly and mess up the chocolate.

    For the last one, you could melt your chocolate and pour it into cupcake papers, make sure it coats all the inside and pour out the excess, then let it set. Add in your filling, let that set, then top it with more melted chocolate. That's basically how peanut butter cups are made, but it would work for any filling.

    Your chocolate hardened up because moisture ie condensation on the frozen filling reacted with the chocolate. Better to drizzle the chocolate over the frozen filling. I would cover the bottom then turn it over and coat the top. You can improve your pasta by using strong flour sometimes just called bread flour. This will also allow you to role out your dough thinner without breaking. As to price it probably cost about 70p to make your three egg pasta. So maybe more expensive than buying the cheep dried stuff. But compared to the price of good quality fresh pasta, home made is half the price.

  • @danielleberkman1493
    @danielleberkman1493Ай бұрын

    I will have to try some of these! Next time you should drizzle the chocolate or pour it on top of the frozen yogurt. If you put ice cold things into warm chocolate then it clumps up. With the pasta to make it thinner, I use a wine bottle. It makes the rolling easier than a rolling pin and has more weight to make it thinner. Also if you double cut your pasta then you will have thinner strands.

  • @h.882
    @h.882Ай бұрын

    tbh its pretty hard to compare the price of homemade pasta and dried storebought pasta, but ig if you like to treat yourself to fresh pasta it is cheaper to make it than buy the fresh pasta you can find in chilled sections of supermarkets

  • @demothes

    @demothes

    Yeah, fresh pasta you make yourself will cost more time and more money than store bought dry pasta, partly because store bought dry pasta often contains only flour and no eggs.

    for the yogurt chocolate one, I think it would be much easier to spread the yogurt in the pan and then just pour the melted chocolate on top, and then just cut it into squares once frozen (also you can add nuts on top before it hardens!) and for the pasta maybe try less flour, and when rolling it it is probably easier and would take less energy if you roll the pin back and forth fast (light pressure no need to press hard like you did in the video)

    To make fluffier pancakes you have to whip the egg whites+ (vanilla) sugar separately from the rest of the batter (sifted flour, baking powder/soda, pinch of salt and milk) then after fold the whipped egg whites into the rest of the batter. Japanese pancakes use more egg whites than regular fluffy pancakes, need "perfect" whipping of the eggs and need to be baked (steaming optional) on low heat

    For the last one, it might be easier putting melted chocolate in like a silicone ice cube tray mould. Wobble it to fill the edges like you would with a hollow Easter egg. Letting that harden, then fill it with the fruit and yogurt mixture. Letting freeze together and then pouring more melted chocolate in top to fully cover them. Freeze again and then eat as and when craved haha

    21:00 it can be melted more than once... You can try putting the frozen yogurt+strawberry on a rack in a tray.. and pour melted chocolate on them nicely instead of dipping. When you dip in the chocolate, the cold frozen yogurt would change the chocolate temperature drastically and cause it to solidify..

    The chocolate hardened because you put the frozen strawberry / yogurt into the melted chocolate which causes the sugar crystals in the chocolate to harden again. Next time try putting the yoghurt and fruit mixture in those little cupcake tin compartments and then pour the chocolate on top when they are frozen. Then put the chocolate covered things back in the freezer for about 20 minutes for the chocolate to harden again 👍

    Maybe next time freeze the yogurt strawberries in an ice cube tray and then use dixie cups with separate tiny batches of melted chocolate to make smaller servings.
