you used to be able to design starbases, PDX took that away and now we are stuck with the crappy generic starbases.

So frustrating too. Get Zroni, plop down a Stormcaster, watch as 90% of your station's hp goes *poof* cause the auto maker gave it all shields...

Designable Starbases I have tried. I thought this mod would be the game changer, I was fed up of having a Starbase in a Pulsar system predominantly made up of shields. Doh.... but unfortunately, you cannot differentiate star base designs, all starbases change their layout the latest design you make, which I thought was pointless. Needs an ability to upgrade your starbase to a design name not a starbase level.

It’s actually crazy how many good mods there are that aren’t already in the full game by now - I find it difficult to play vanilla Stellaris now because of the mods lol 😅

the extra megasyructures mod seems like something that I'd actually enjoy playing with.

Supercarrier should be a legit ingame design tbh - love that idea

Damn, i just released a mod, but kept it hidden for the time being, kinda regrett it now, since i wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being one of the mods you ended up trying. Well, no point in complaining about it. Love this style of video btw, they're pretty entertaining. Keep it up! Also, the mod that crashed the game seems to be a bunch of vanilla overwrites and edits to some other mods, Amazing Space Battles for example. So its effectively a patch and a tweak/balance mod for the creator and their friends.

Hey Ep3o. Would you consider doing a video on Ancient Caches of Technology (ACOT)? I feel like ACOT is a popular and expansive mod that just hasn't been covered by stellaris youtubers (relative to say, gigastructures). Speaking of which, Giga and ACOT pair very well together, though I'd recommended playing ACOT on its own, first.

@@GGGG-jn7ib Many other people (as far as I've seen on the Stellaris subreddit) and I have played with both. Hell, Giga even has settings and difficulties specifically meant for ACOT. If high pop growth is an issue then you can decrease it through the in-game settings. Admittedly, on lower-end systems, it could cause problems, but if you have a decent setup then you have nothing to worry about.

@@generalsociety9607 both mods to me cause lag idk why with 1 of those 2 I get through a year in like 5m, after 2300 with 2 it’s more like 10 to 15

The private mod mostly adds a "Navi" pre-ftl civ to Planet Pandora in Alpha Centauri. There's a ton of files downloaded that seem to be unrelated but that seems to be the main thing.

First also the Nomads / Darkspace mod are getting a huge update with new civics and tradition and ascension perk this coming weekend!

The Orbital Military Stations and Ion cannons is not from Designable Starbases. Designable Starbases is literally just that. But regardless it's really good. I usually go for swarmer missiles and hangars which is pretty effective against the AI's corvette preference.

I use the Star Wars Weapons mod, tbh without designable starbases the starbases uses weapons mostly from the mod. They are put on laser cannons, turbolasers, and assault concussion missiles on M modules, poor shield damage but once the shields die, rip and tear that armor

NGL, I love the one that just builds the orbitals instead of the horrible mess the devs created

Real Space terraforming in the Real Space is interesting, though not current option for Gaia worlds so left it disabled in my current play through

We need a ship class update. Add new weapons and classes. A carrier, battle cruiser, dreadnaught and mothership would be awesome

The "Build all Habitats" Mod should be in the Game. Obviously not instant but have your Constructionship rightclick on a System. The same Way you build all Miningstations.
