I Tried Training Like a Pro Triathlete for A Day *so tough* ft. Ari Klau
Okay this was SO HARD. I have a different level of respect for triathletes after going through that day. How do they do this multiple times a week over and over??? I am in awe. But also it was pretty fun... #AllieOstrander #TheAthleteSpecial #AriKlau #Triathlon

Loved this video and super impressed Allie can swim for 72 minutes with no swim training!
That was fun to see you tri something new!

I see what you did there ;)
Courage few people are born with it...you're one of them Allie!! Impressive how you push yourself 🤙🤙
Wow, Allie, that was incredible. My fav vid is you winning the Mount Marathon event. That together with this makes me believe that you are an exceptional endurance athlete and I think in time you could become an outstanding champion in that field. Go Allie O!
Loved the video. You guys had a great workout. Allie is as tough as nails.
3k swim as a beginner? Very impressive
Good morning Allie happy Saturday weekend and happy weekend and I'm proud of you and I'm glad you've doing a tri-training day and I loved your summer vlogs
Indeed, that seemed like a very hard tri-training day. The swim didn't seem too hard, but the biking looked tough, and to follow that up with a long run at a decent clip had to be exhausting. I've always though tri athletes are the most fit of all athletes (with perhaps the exception of true decathalon athletes).

I don’t get how they train 3 different disciplines plus do all the other little stuff (strength training, stretching, recovery, etc.) not to mention regular life

I have so much respect for triathlon. Absolutely brutal!
Awesome video! No joke to do what you did here. Love the brave face even when it wasn’t comfortable. Your ability to go into the pain cave and embrace it means there are no limits to the type of endurance sport you could do if you ever decided to leave the track.

I definitely enjoy the challenge!
You did great! Swimming across a lake and back sounds scary. The bike looked brutal. You run so fast!
Allie you have a truly winning personality!
Allie, I always think you look very solid on the bike! You are quite an athlete!

thank you! I have definitely put in some time on that bike!
Separately following both your channels for awhile. Had no idea you guys knew each other and now your channels/workouts are colliding. Great stuff!

Yeah, we've actually known each other since before either of us started our channels!
This makes me so happy. I’m a huge fan of both of you and i moved from ironman training to ultra training. I feel all of this.

Two or three goose dumps 😂
Absolutely incredibly awesome😍
Came to watch the full day after your week of workouts video. Holy smokes, it was crazy. Not sure what I was expecting but that would've kicked my ass and you demolished it like a champ. Looked super fun though.

Oh it definitely kicked my ass lol
Got the runners tan going. 😂 Great job!!!
Nicely done ✅
1. georgie is perfect 2. in AWE of your paces during the run - actually crushing it after that whole day you’re so strong!!! 3. this video encouraged my idea to race a triathalon just for fun (& become a cross training expert hehe)

I think racing a triathlon casually would be fun! Definitely a nice challenge :)
Cool to watch you do all the three events! Allie, you would obviously ace the run portion. When I did triathlons (as an amateur), I joined a master's swim program, which helped that event improve a huge amount. One caution: as one with obsessive and compulsive tendencies, I found that training was taking over my life, so I had to back off. But I wasn't a pro, so maybe it's a reasonable thing for you to try.

I could definitely see the training getting very obsessive! It's basically a full time job.
crazy worko😳ut!
Wow Allie, that was amazing. Would be cool if you did become triathlete but the swimming sounds like a turn off.💜
I personally couldn’t do that props to you 👏🏽. I like to train for an hour (running and weights combined) and nap for 3 hours 😭

Loving the diversity here!
Hmmm Allie you might have a future in pro triathlon!!! & pro running too ofc hehe

@@allie_ostrander Good time to relax and step away from the hard running and racing! Good for him!
What lactate monitor do you use?
What’s the name of your black sports bra you wore running??
Post long run I usually tube float the bay where I live, does that count lol? Keep having fun you two!
question ? do you know where Ari got his lactate devices from ? It would be greatly appreciated if you knew.
Is that clif bloks? If so they need to sponsor you then give us a 15% off code 🤣🤣 I love those things. You're awesome girl! Running is best.

You should totally do sprint triathlon like 1/8 just for fun!

I might!
My girlfriend and I watched the exact same SVU episode at the exact same time as y’all were doing lactate tests. Also, the tests seem like a pain in the ass when you have to stop what you’re doing and do them yourself. Is it something you’d wanna continue?
@allie_ostrander
Жыл бұрын
once I practice testing myself a few times, I think it would get pretty easy, and the numbers get more helpful the more often you use them. I think it can be worth it as long as research and testing goes into the lactate number targets!
Fantastic video,i can highly recommend Strava because of how useful it is and you can follow athletes you like such as i have with Spencer How old is Ari?

Funnily enough, and I’m not sure if it’s the algorithm or alchemy, the mix video advert was ‘how to stop procrastinating!!” Hope there wasn’t any creepy algae in the lake

You should switch to triathlon. I think you would do great in it since you are such a high level runner.
Makes me want to go for a swim but there's been a bad draught and I'm afraid of amoebas in these conditions. Or am I just making excuses?
I could never. I hate swimming with a passion. I once also managed to somehow get injured while swimming

You should try a heptathlon sometime!
😱😱😬😬 wow
You did really well swimming for someone that doesn’t like to swim. I think you would be great at this if you put in the training that you do. God Bless
Ok... fun day over... now back to running only please lol !!
allie- your adorable
Perhaps your stomach issues are due to ingesting the water that is in Greenlake. I would never swim in that lake. Indoor biking for me is tough. I much prefer going outside unless the weather is crap. Anyway, you did great!
@allie_ostrander
Жыл бұрын
haha the Greenlake water probably did not help..
swimming is just punishment for getting injured while running and biking is meant to be done with a beer at a campground at low speed...I would drown in that lake in 5 minutes or less...so glad you didnt!
@allie_ostrander

haha these are some good takes.
that is a beautiful lake, you cannot swim in texas lakes like that!

Hey ya all Jesus loves you' hope thah news makes your day better have a good one!
I don't think pro triathletes do all 3 sports every single training day... It's about planning training so you can hit the key workouts hard rather than throwing a constant slog at it and feelinhf exhausted.
@allie_ostrander

Yep, Ari talked about that at the end. This was a hard training day, and there will only be 1-2 of these a week along with recovery days in between.
Ari's shorts are illigal, men shorts cang be shorter than women... :D
3k swim to start… are you serious 🫠
