That's not even a partial failure. It's actually a partial success... being able to play that small part of a song that complicated (even though it's not at its full speed), written by a guy like Henson, it's pretty impressive, to be honest. I've just pressed the Subscribe button after watching this video. It's very inspiring.

You're an excellent guitarist. This is one heck of a song to attempt. I have a tip for learning by ear. When you practice, sing every note you play. Start with scales. Once you build up that relation in your mind, if you can sing it you can play it. It takes years to master this technique (eapecially whem you start singing harmonies to what you're playing. ie: Gilmore), but you absolutely will see positive results in your ear training right away and eventually it makes learning by ear amazingly easy, not to mention how it will help your writing and improvisation. Keep on rockin 🤘🏼

Every guitar player is trying to learn this piece. It's actually very reassuring to watch an excellent guitar player struggle with it as much as I am. Instead of Lucas Brar playing along with it and then making it even harder.

I really like this video as it shows how most of us will struggle to play by ear and there are those who are gifted (like TheDooo) who can pick up songs with one hearing. This video helps me to want to get back to practicing again. And... I wonder how long it would take TheDooo to get this song... you did a wonderful thing here in showing us to be patient and keep at it to get it done.

You did this by ear with no tab and managed to get that good at the first part in 2 hours...that's far from a partial failure, that's a huge success, as an experienced guitarist myself it took WAY MORE time for me to get to the speed and the sound that you got in 2 hours, you did great

The whole band is a mix of incredibly talented musicians, but Tim seems to get all the wow factor. Great job Sophie!! 2 hours to get where you are with it is amazing! I couldn't hope to get where you are in 2 years! :o) xx
