I'm a medium control pad user and these feet were way to fast out of the box, the first week I was using them on slower and slower pads and eventually I went all the way down to a worn GSR trying to get any level of control back, but the only thing that changed on cloth control pads was the glide felt slower but the near 0 static friction stayed the same. I ended up switching to hybrid speed pads like the Venus and Hien and had a much better time on those, even if those pads are not my cup of tea normally. After 3 weeks I felt like I was clawing my way back up to where I was on PTFE, a combination of them slowing down and me getting used to them. After replacing them with Corepads my performance was instantly better. My advice if you don't like them after 2 weeks don't waste your time just go back to ptfe, they were worth trying and are super unique feeling, but not for everyone.

I own these glass skates for a few months and yeah they do feel much better after a week. They are too fast out of the box but after a week they became slightly slower but they never slow down further (plateaued), they are super consistent and should last longer than PTFE which will slow down more and more over time. The speed after a week makes it usable for CSGO, but out of the box it is too fast.

I've been using them for months on a gpro superlite, and I absolutely love them. One thing to be aware of is that if your pad has moisture pr dampness, the moisture will slow down the mouse on the pad. Recently, I washed my pad and couldn't wait to get that new feeling again, but it was super sticky because the pad was still holding a bit of moisture. I used a blow dryer to get that last bit out, and it felt perfect again.

I just bought the Pulsar Xlite V2 Wireless and the Superglides. The mouse came a day before the glides and it felt amazing, the glides however, take away any feedback you get from the mouse pad. I was really excited to try them out but since I only play fps games I don't think I am going to keep them on. I have gone down significantly with my DPI and I still notice my aim walking, having to try and compensate with dragging a finger doesn't feel natural. I had thought when I got them that I was going to ceramic coat the glass to prevent micro scratches....that would have made these things impossible to use. Great idea and I love the design they implement into the glass but nobody sees it.

  • @philipp594

I had huge benefits in cs go from using them. All those little movements you notice with them happen with ptfe skates too, they are just slower and will lightly impact your aim. With the superglides I can notice my little flaws better and correct them. I played faceit from the first hour and I've been performing better than usual from the start.

This is not specific to superglides and will happen with all skates. I would recommend a mousepad that dealls well with moisture and a good cleaning routine (wipe with microfiber towel before and after and have a second towel and a disinfectant / detergent to use after a sweaty session) or frequent mousepad switching.

Great content as always! As an older gamer/fps, the trend back in the day was all about having less friction. It was what I was used to and performed best with in my teen years. Those products started to vanish on the market over time for cloth mousepads. I was bewildered by the popularity of the cloth pads and even the "fast" ones felt like I was fighting and struggling against the surface while I was playing. I recently tried out the Skypad Glass and so far I've been fairly pleased with it, it's still not "flying off the desk" friction-less but it's as close as I can get to the "good ol' days". I might have to revisit some surfaces with the Superglides at some point though.

Also for crosshair placement intensive games it really depends how you grip your mouse and what sensitivity you are playing on, to benefit from these pads. Glass skates plus a fast cloth pad is a deadly combo, using the skates on a GPW superlight and a fnatic dash mouse pad made my aim a lot more deadly, it gives me speed and smoothness yet just enough control for sudden flicks and stops. I play Valorant and I had to make some adjustments to my Sens for the game. The main thing after "breaking these in" it feels a lot more fluid movement. @$25 its not bad. Unlike Optimum I haven't noticed any difference in glide after the break in. I have had them almost a month and they are amazing and definitely worth the investment if you are gonna play FPS games. also with g703 vs the superlight, the g703 has less skate area than the superlight so the g703 has less contact area to glide on it.

Great feedback on these glass glides, but the looks hooked me so bad! I want the reds and I'd probably let the mouse rest upsidedown when not using so I can admire it! hahahh 🤘⚡

Call me crazy. But curious how using the glass pad on just the lower portion of the mouse and stock pad on the upper would feel. I feel like that might help with sweeping the mouse but while shooting "clicking" you'll have the added friction from the stock pad. Definitely worth a shot?

Totally different item but I started using the razer fire fly v2 mouse pad. It's a hard surface and I believe it has helped my aiming and shooting in fps games. The surface allows the mouse to glide effortlessly

Hey Ali, i was a little worried about some of the criticisms you had for these slides but I gotta say, for heavier mice this is actually a great upgrade, I just put these on the g903 which is 110g, and there is way less resistance when sliding back and forth which is great so far, i can see how this can be rought for people with lightweights though tbh. Another minor detail is that noise is also reduced which probably doesnt matter to most people! anywho great review and keep it up!

I honestly think that superglides could be useful as a training tool. Get better mouse control with super low-friction skates (because you have to), and then back on normal skates, you should have better smoothness and not need to micro adjust as much.

I've used these for around 6 months and after the first 3-4 months the skates got very sticky and lost their 'super' glide. A little bit of soapy water on them made them slide nice and smooth again, but they're not as insane as when I first put them on. They used to be overkill now they're just fine. I still find the plastic skates to be the best option however, as they didn't gunk up in the same way quite as easily.

do you wrest your palm on your mousepad (if so: how often?) or do you always have it in the air and slightly wrested on the mouse itself ? asking cuz I recently got an artisan mousepad which has much more texture than my old one and I used to always drag my palm over the mousepad.. which now feels very uncomfortable.

There's a reason why very few pros use glass skates. They do look cool but in reality it's just a marketing gimmick.

I've gotten used to play without glides, and with ingrown glue residue from where the glides sat on my mouse that now have come down into my QcK+ mousepad. That is the kind of stopping power I need. I combat the high resistance with high sensitivity. My tracking actually won't improve with another mouse or clean mousepad. It kind of stays the same, but I do miss all the prediction shots with explosives like rocket launchers when I don't have the stopping power. The only benefit with high glide is that I have to lower the sensitivity that helps with long distance railing, but that's it. Even movement/strafejumping gets worse with higher glide. I hit up to around 46% LG during death matches aganist noobs. I would like to improve that, but I don't really know how. Getting used to no glides and dirty mousepad isn't the best thing in the long run though since it's hard to become consistant when the pad eventually gets too slow even for me due to the dirt.

If you want to preserve the day 1 glide of these forever, use an automotive ceramic nanocoating on them. I saw this being done on reddit and the results were insane. Ceramic is much harder to scratch than glass so all the lint and dust particles will have no impact on it

We need these as a mobile conposite but right now i just use metal on glass, the more sensitive atleast i’ve found trying to get the lowest friction possible for sure inpacts your aim at the start but after a while and you turn the sens down it’s insanely clean for tracking and headtapping. At the endof the day your gonna get better with more sensitive and friction less concepts but over time with lower sens it’s insane, you could technically find the absolute perfect sens for you if there is little to no friction. Definitely not for everyone but for those who choose to main them i can assure you it will unliock new limits

My best mouse experience is actually with a4tech bloody mouse. I freakin love the aluminum skates on them. No friction at all and the lifespan is like infinite. I've had my bloody mouse almost 10 years and the skates are in perfect condition. Not a single scratch or wear at all and the friction doesn't change at all no matter how blotchy, dirty etc. your pad is. Unfortunately, cause there's the goddamn internal "CPU" and program for auto aims etc. (which you still need to unlock) all bloody mouses are banned by many anti-cheats. I wish some other brand would use aluminum skates.

I also tried these very recently on the superlight. I loved the feel of the glide, I'd have stuck with them for a while, EXCEPT---they made my mouse cursor drift when it was sitting perfectly stationary, and that was a dealbreaker for me. The click-dragging referenced in the video was an annoyance for me using it windows. How it was happening, I have no idea, I tried a bunch of things, and there was nothing I could do to stop it. Maybe my desk is very slightly unlevel, but even after I put a weight beside the mouse to ensure it couldn't slide left, it still drifted left on my screen. I chatted with someone else who said they noticed the same thing (though it seemed to bother them less). I switched to corepads because my factory pads were too battered to keep using. It was a costly little experiment.

your desk is probably uneven. it’s a pretty common issue. everyone says once they get these glides they realise their desk is actually not level which moves the mouse even when they don’t touch it.
