Thanks for this amazing video . I currently share a g920 with my brother and honestly this video was convincing enough to make me want to get a moza r3 myself. It will take a while for me to save up for it but thanks for making this video it really helped me finally decide what wheel I wanted to get when I have enough money

Liking the insight, reviews, quality of this channel. Sold my Fanatec CSR Elite (belt) to Mozza R5 6 mo ago and could not be happier. My only issue is the ES wheel looks like a console toy and not like the GT wheels with luminated buttons and nicer carbon materials. THe KS is my next upgrade.

Did you ever get the KS? I heard the R5 may struggle a tiny bit with the extra weight over the ES

My friend just bought a t300rs wheel, I wish he waited a few more weeks so he could have gotten this instead. Great video as always doc!

I would get it just to put on the r12. I don’t think the r16 would work because the lack of ports on the back, Xbox needs the pedals and shifters plugged into the base, and I’m pretty sure after the r 12 there’s no ports

As for the video itself, how close in space on the market is this to the R5, or the Cammus C5? Does it justify it's existence? How well does it clamp down? Do they play nice with other gear like a H-Pattern and clutch?

Pretty much the same in terms of ffb power. The cammus feels more powerful than the R3/R5. You can use moza h pattern and clutch on console, you cannot mix and match manufacturers

Anyone know if they've sorted the compatibility with ACC on Xbox yet?...If they have I think I'll take the plunge

Fanatec DD bundle seems like a better deal overall imo. Especially conaidering you can add a boost kit later for very little.

You’re not wrong there! This is simultaneously the best and worst time to buy something, especially as Moza are bringing stuff out seemingly all the time! I like their drive for innovation, and I think their ecosystem will dwarf Fanatec’s quite quickly

Will it? Seeing as how they brought out a new product which fails to match Fanatec in performance, whilst costing the same, leads me to doubt that. Mozas 5nm offering is also 170€ more expensive as a bundle (europe). This is important, because as a bundle the cheapest 8nm fanatec is only 500€ (you get 50€ off on the boost lot). Moza either gotta lower prices or step up their game, because as it stands they just cannot compete. The new csl universal hub v2, which introduces a lot of 200€ wheel options doesn't help your case either :/

The Xbox bundle for Maza is cheaper than buying the Xbox bundle for Fanatic though. Since the wheel for the basic R2R bundle isn’t compatible with Xbox.

Am I the only PS5 guy that is mad bcs Fanatec is the only DD wheelbase available and there isn’t an entry level option? Every time I look XBox is getting a new DD base from Fanatec and now Moza. PS is a wide open market if one of these companies enters that wide open market

It’s cheaper for Xbox players.

more than half of Thrustmaster's wheels are dead now... there is literally no reason to buy belt driven wheel if you can get this and in the future just upgrade few years ago no one would ever believe that fully DD wheel can cost this low with rim and pedals in box...

Too bad the main issue with Xbox, regardless of wheel brand, is any wheel that has more inputs than a controller will not be mappable. Example: LSB & RSB on the wheel will be always be gas and brake. No way to remap with current Xbox standards. This is the reason Rev lights also do not work on Xbox.

This was the main question I had coming from an Fanatec perspective. Was if the whole button mapping and overall wheel functionality would be fix with Moza. And from what you stated it seems like it's not and the issue is with XBOX and not the Sim Brand.

@@chadbajoie7878 Yeah that's why I was curious. Because I read that there's been a lot of finger pointing between Fanatec and Microsoft on whose at fault for some of the functionality not working on the wheel. And now you have another brand where we are seeing the same issues.

Thing is about a week after this the R5 bundles got dropped to $500. The market on for sim racing stuff feels like the longer you wait the better you come out, like week to week lol.

Except it’s 3,9Nm and Xbox compatible. Fanatec has a 440 bucks option for a Xbox compatible wheel. Not to mention the God awful plastic of the McLaren wheel and the crap QR with lots of play from Fanatec. Plus it’s a bigger wheelbase with less connections on the back. Add the table clamp for 30 bucks and you’re looking at 470 bucks for a similar setup. Not really 400 is it?!

If you are a controller user and want to try a wheel, this is the must buy for xbox. Forza Horizon 5 is THE GOAT of driving games with a modern wheel. Do it, just do it. Try this setup for Forza Horizon 5 I use auto so I can concentrate on left foot braking. Cockpit view helps. Good road feel Amazing off road feel. Cornering forces are strong. It's all bloody amazing. Forza Horizon 5 advanced settings. vibration scale .3 If this is set too high driving through water and landing big jumps will cause painful vibration through the wheel. Vibration scale and 100 Hz setting work together.
