i know this wasn't what you wanted, but you learned from it, and you did a fantastic job painting his body

I think what you added to the doll looks really good. Both the sculpted and painted hair on him are so accurate to the texture that people have in real life, and all of the shading and the facup look fantastic. I'm sorry that it became such a frustration for you: i can't imagine the sick fuck that WOULD like that kind of thing. every video of yours i watch makes me think that YOU are my Disney husband, because you are so NOT Disney and i love that. You make your videos realistic about doing this art stuff: you don't hide that there is stuff that happens when you make something that just doesn't work out. You're about the only channel i've seen that doesn't sugar coat everything. And i simply love the attitude you have in these videos, it is so charming to me 🥰

3D printers are really cheap under 200 dollars for all the things he can make is worth it

Oh man I'm sorry this didn't spark joy within you. I think he turned out stunning as they always do however. I hope the next (collaboration) brings you happiness!

One thing people don't mention with 3D printed dolls is the sheer amount of post processing. And with resin it's so incredibly messy and stinky. I printed a 40cm doll though and she's so beautiful so it's worth it IMO.

That's why I've stuck to PLA printing, it's still some work, but at least it's not a smelly liquid you have to clean up afterward.

I am also excited to see 3d printing. But I have to say your sculpting is so mesmerizing. You are truly so talented at sculpting the muscles. I keep re watching your videos to try and learn from you. Thanks for sharing your art

I love every project you drop! This may not have been your favorite doll, but I’m excited that you have another option for your art! Maybe you can collaborate with 3D zip guy and create the doll you want to see. On a side note, I love that you create male dolls… but even more, I love that you made a black male doll this time around! You made me look up Matthias the character just to know who he was! He’s hot but you made him Phyne!

Well done, even though it frustrated you. Your hand crafted guys are more personal with a life of their own, but Mattius was an admirable experiment.

He does look very nice. And I hope you continue to try to 3D printer. I love mine. And the more I've played around with the sculpting, it has gotten better and a lot more enjoyable and exciting again 💞

I love him! I really wish I could do 3-D printing and make made to move dolls. I agree this could be really stressful. This would be a great way to design my own dolls.

As somebody 3d printing dolls for a hobby myself, I think you did a great job, though I'm sad to see that you disliked the process of making it. If I may throw in my two cents, the advantage to BJDs that are held together with elastics, is that it gives a lot of mobility, and durability compared to small plastic pegs that might easily be broken, plus 3D printing your own BJDs is a way more affordable option. Personally, I hope you'd one day give a 3d printed BJD a shot to compare to this project, because many of the parts you'd disliked about this one would be a bit different at least. Lastly, I'm so happy to see you test an alternative to MR superclear, I can't easily get it where I live and I've also been a bit tired of seeing it put on a pedestal by the dollmaker community.

I wander if the 3D-Printed put-together body can be specially made to retrofit neck adapters for 1960s -1990s G.I Joe headsculpts. The usage of zip-ties to hold together the parts is ingenious.

Doing it for the hand may be WAYY too small of a peg. You also have to keep in mind that the body was for a way smaller scale and isn't the same construction wise as a 12 inch doll because it isn't a 12 inch doll, also the 12 inch doll is assembled differently than with zip ties in a way that may be difficult to do with zip ties. Just trying to let you know that so you don't become discouraged if these things aren't able to be fixed

I'm sorry to hear the printing process didn't live up to what you wanted and it caused more frustration and took the fun out of the making of this doll. The end result. it's a beautiful doll.

I think part of what took the fun away from this for you is that you didn’t sculpt him, I have this issue with 3D printing I love the process but I need to learn to 3D sculpt to get more joy out of it cuate just getting a file and print it is kinda boring it would be better if I worked on what I’m printing if that makes sense, you should invest in a 3D printer if you have the space and consider using petg since is more heat resistant than pla while being as easy to print as pla since abs requires an enclosure or it warps, 3D printing is very fun but I can’t wait to be able to sculpt my own designs

Oh process is the most important part, isnt it? Why do anything if you don't get deeply immersed in the process. I like getting a different perspective, and so few do boy dolls. I definitely have ideas for boy dolls so i like watching your videos.
