    I saw a guy like Brian Shaw at a Walmart in western Ohio ... A reg guy about 6ft9 or 6ft10 I'd say and roughly 400lbs very lean and never lifted weights or did sports ..... Crazy size ....

    Training hard after 40 is risky. I was injury free for the first 39 years of my life then I tore my pec at 40 and my bicep at 41. Watch yourselves gentleman. Train hard but train smart too. Speedy recovery to you Mr. Shaw.

    even at 36 it becomes an issue. I tripped last year, broke 1 ankle, ripped tendons in the other, in my younger years I would have healed up in a couple weeks, its going on a year now and its still not fully healed.

    @@ivenstorm No, the exact age is only relevant to the person, 36 means nothing, some men have made it to 46 with LESS issues and working every bit as hard, some are destroyed by their 30s and that doesn’t necessarily mean they didn’t take care of themselves as well.     ​@@pascal9814Because your muscles get stronger way faster than your other tissues. Thor rapidly increased his bench and didn't listen to his coach. Brian has been lifting heavy consistently for decades and the bench wasn't much of a jump for him, while Thor hadn't been training static strength very consistently for years after losing a huge amount of weight and taking time off for boxing.

    Tore your pec and still one the standing chest press then went on to do the fingal's fingers right after. To be the best strongman, you definitely need to be strong physically and mentally. You can't let a torn muscle slow you down. Just ignore the pain and keep going.

    I’m 28 5’10 170lbs.. I’ve had something wrong with my left pec and shoulder cuff for years.. it’s gotten bad that I get panic attacks since it’s over my heart with the pain.. checked heart & it’s not an issue 🙏 so next I’ll be going to get an ultra sound to see what’s up w my muscles. This makes me feel more comfortable to this procedure. Speedy recovery Shaw 💪

    Hafthor tore his at a powerlifting meet several months back and had to have the tendon reattached. Opposite arm. I don't think they like competing for the biggest popped booby contest as much as they did the Arnold and WSM.

    That's used on people who are obese as well. Smaller cuffs on larger people can read the blood pressure as high!
