I took this GARBAGE and turned it into something I CAN SELL

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Watch me take this literal GARBAGE and turn it into something valuable again. With some ingenuity, a few replacement parts and paint I made a dresser that I could totally SELL for a PROFIT!

Love it! The color is really interesting because it looks peach, it looks light pink, it looks terra cotta depending on the angle and the light. I love the way it looks with the wood tone you created! This will be a blessing for whoever receives it!🌸

I am touched by this transformation for some reason. Maybe since covid isolation I was feeling bedraggled and apart from anything. But since getting back into society with real live people this seeing what can change has given me heart. And inspired my furniture transformations also. You have kept us going during all those times, you know. I think whoever gets this piece will be also heartened . Thank you.

I find these makeovers very interesting to watch. I may never refinish a piece but I am sure I am gaining some knowledge. The thing I most appreciate is making these items useful and strong again rather than taking them to the landfill.

I've said it before and I'll say again, I love watching you transform furniture. You are so good! If I had the money to pay you a gazillion dollars and fly you out to Arizona to refinish my grandparents (then my parents') bedroom furniture, I'd do it!!! LOL! I've learned SO much just watching you while I relax and drink a beverage.

I recently bought some of that same wood filler because the label said it was stainable. It is not stainable, it just barely changes color. I had a lot of places where I had to mix some of my own paint to try and match the rest of my little cabinet. I love watching you turn yuck into yummy!

You always remove old hardware to make sure that every inch is clean, it drives me crazy when people don’t remove the hardware first! 😂. You are a first rate furniture refurbisher. Lets be real.... I have been watching for some time now and you could probably be able to make a sellable item out of a used popsickle stick..... You don't skip the steps and dealing with details even when tempted to do so. You take your time. Everything looks smooth and finished and you take care to see it lasts for a long time even when it is no longer in your posession. It has come to a point that when I see a new piece I almost always know what you will do with it. I know the drill!!!!!

It’s encouraging for us people new to refinishing or redoing furniture. I am not interested in the future flipping business but I am attempting some for my own home. Katie, Next time you want to do that "fluted accent" try Pole Wrap, instead of individual dowels or half-rounds, It comes in a roll and you can cut it easier & quicker. I used it on a laminate dresser top and people think I cut each slat individually. Check it out? Love the Dresser! Thanks for sharing with us. Please keep up the great work.♥

I love the fluted drawer and the the stain colour is gorgeous. But I don’t know if it’s my tablet or the light you recorded in or what but that pink just left me cold. It looked brownie beige with a touch of pink in it and was kind of muddy. I didn’t like the way it looked with that beautiful stain colour either. I liked that you saved it from the landfill though and I’m sure someone will love it.
