I have to say I love how re-assuring and encouraging Mitch is with you Martha. He seems to really get how your mind works and is so patient and understanding with you. He’s a good teacher and stays calm. Love how you both interact. The scenery is so pretty. I miss the English countryside. Well done Martha on your first off-road ride. You did SO well!

There is nothing like the smile that goes on your face after a motorcycle ride. It doesn't matter if the ride made you sore because you know you will be back on the bike. Martha you are now a biker!
You 2 are such a lovely couple. Your interactions with each other are pure gold and Mitch‘s support is really heartwarming. Wishing you all the best ❤🍀

Trials Day in Leek near the Peaks is brilliant for building confidence on lightweight bikes. Excellent instructors there and a real fun day out for all skill levels.
I'm so used to you to not swearing, this was a bit of a shock! 😅. Having said that, off roading is f@&!ing GREAT!
The hard thing for learners on bikes like these, is the fact it's hard to put your feet down on the ground to get your balance, especially if your shorter. It makes learning harder. The slower you are going it's hard to keep your balance. Well done though👍
Clicked on this as i ride a crf , didnt realise what i would be watching ..... Very refreshing content for me ! Two people that come as being simply there self's and arent trying to play up to the camera or pretending to be something there not . Add to this you seem a lovely couple enjoying life together and so supportive of each other . Yep ya got a new subscriber.

Well done Martha you'll get there. Mitchs advice about standing and gripping with your legs and getting your head further forward was spot on 👍🏼 I'd recommend Dave thorpe enduro
Well done Martha, you’re doing amazing! It’s beautiful how supportive & encouraging Mitch is too. Can’t wait to see the adventures that follow!
Get yourself to the ABR festival in June at Ragley Hall, as well as being able to ride an off road course around the estate, they have training as well with various companies, a few beers in the evening with bands playing, you will definitely enjoy it.
Pretty much best thing to do with your bike is to fall down with it (hopefully in low speeds and hopefully quite many times). That helps a lot so that you will not be afraid of falling...
Hi Guys, enjoyed this video. I went through this around 10 years ago. I had a Honda CRF250X. That bike was only 117kg in weight and I put it onto a Coopers bike rack on the back of the Landcruiser (under the 130kg legal requirement for the bike rack). Some observations and to pass on from what I was taught. There are riding schools in Wales, but some of the trails are very technical and your bikes are too heavy for those types of trails and the bits that come with them, such as riding up steep hills inside rocky ditches, slipping all over the place. The light bikes have a heavy maintenance schedule and you have to change the separate engine and gearbox oil after every day out, due to the crash box. Nothing wrong with sitting forward, gripping the tank with the knees for stability, to stop the front end drifting. On standing, legs locked straight, pivot forward, find centre of balance, then you won’t get saddle sore. Always take plenty of water. On the riding days out, you join say 10 others, the morning is hard, down for lunch and refuel, then the afternoon is easier and restful like the trails you did. Don’t ride the clutch. PS 37:49 I did a car camp in that layby only 3 weeks ago. There’s a Club for what you are doing at Denton, where they have days out. I would just stick to the types of trails you are doing as Martha won't be able to handle the hard stuff. It's really tiring and totally different from road riding. Bit worried about Martha, as not wanting her to get over confident say 3 months in, which is what can happen when you first pass your test. Look after her Mitch.
I’d definitely recommend the ABR Festival as it’s the perfect place to gain confidence off-road in a safe environment. There are loads off-road riding experience schools there too.
So fun to watch Martha learn! Brings back memories to the time I started riding almost 20 years ago. As a short rider myself with my 250M Im not enable to lift it up with m legs but I can by lifting it up with the handlebar. A tip when bike falls on its right side is before you lit the bike up put down the kickstand so when you lift it up there is a smaller risk of the bike tipping over to much to the left side. Martha could start practicing lifting up the 250l before lifting the 250 Rally so she can get used to since its a bit lighter and not as "fat". Keep on riding! :)
wow, What can you say to that. first time out on offroad and you smashed it. Mitch is doing so well, teaching you. As they say practice makes perfect. Looking forward to your confidence rise even more after your 1-2-1 training. Well done guys keep it up

So Impressed Martha, and Mitch you're not a bad mentor either !! Just keep going, the more bike time the better. Look forward to see how you get on this Thursday with A.. S.... off road. He should remember me from 2020, a memorable moment. Upwards and onwards 😊

Great job you 2....couple things that may be helpful, Marth make sure to not get to high of a grip on the throttle, with the bouncing and in a panic situation you can get body weight thrown back causing a throttle pin or too much throttle per bounce. In the beginning a lower initial grip position will require a purposeful throttle roll to accelerate. Also work on picking bike up in case your partner gets a lil roughed up in incident.
Marth you’re doing amazing! Mitch is such a supportive and encouraging teacher, something tells us he’s more than the mediocre rider he says he is 😅 So many smiles watching this you guys xx

You never stop learning training or practicing 😃🍻
Little tip I was given after dropping a mates bike while pushing it have the kick stand down and push from the other side then if it goes away from you the stand will catch it.
I am watching your video and have really enjoyed your temperament and the ATGATT as well! Mitch has a very supportive manner as well so I expect a good experience. I have that same AlpineStar A10 Chest Protector…love it! Take some Off Road training and practice what you learn. Oh, and have fun!
Black Desert Training / Craig Bounds. I had a 1-1 day with him, brilliant. Lovely guy and wife too. Boosted my confidence 200%. It wasn’t mega expensive either. We covered ruts, riding on sideways on loose and fixed rock slopes/ hills/ mountains, etc, all the tricky things, and we went quite fast too and the end of the day I think learning 1/1 is much quicker than doing a group school, as your weakness’s are identified immediately, and rectified straight away.

Blooming eck Martha. Don’t know how stressed you were riding but I was stressed just watching!!! 😅. You did brill and Mitch was a great coach as well. You two are sooo lovely. Looking forward to seeing how you progress 🏍️. Have fun 🤩
It's clear from Martha sweating that she was crapping herself far too often from riding beyond her limits. Every cry of surprise, is a mishap narrowly avoided. Martha needs to get ahead of the bike by having more comfortable practice. Speeding Mitch, and losing sight of her are not good ideas when you are responsible for a novice rider. I'm saying this because I want this to be a very long video series of your adventures together.
Use the handlebar way of lifting it.. . Pull the handle that's on the ground forward till it locks then lift the bike with it...while facing the bike. Use both hands on the grip or bark buster
Again - just another brilliant video!!!! My partner and I howled laughing the whole way through this. You’re both fab. Looking forward to next Sunday’s vid!

Hi guys, always watch your videos to see what you’re up to. Thank you. It looks like you have a quadlock mount on the bike, I cannot tell at the moment (9.34) if you have the damping on it though. If not, I would recommend that you do because you can damage the camera on your phone if you don’t have one (I am talking from experience)
Look up Mick Extance in Wales for training. Absolutely brilliant guy and team. Was a lady there a couple of years ago who had never ridden a bike and was going round the trails stood up by end of day.

done well on your first trail where abouts is that fist trail good video
Have you watched Itchy Boots on KZread ? It is inspiring, intimidating and impressive to see where a solo traveller can get on an off-road bike.
Hi M&M have you considered having a motorcycle rack on your camper as apposed to a trailer. A trailer is so difficult to manoeuvre especially when go off the beaten track. Also park ups you may have to disconnect it or pay double in some cases. A rack ok it maybe a bit of a chore to load & unload but it will be less problematic than a trailer. Also trailers get more interest from customs officials. Something to think about. I’m loving your videos, I look forward to every episode.👍

Not really, as it’s just not suited for us and both our bikes. We’ve got the tow bar fitted now too☺️
Sorry for a comment of criticism, i do like the freshness of your channel, down to earth, which is why I subscribed, however being a biker with over 40 riding experience i worry about your concentration and road sense, pulling out of a junction/car park, and immediately ending up on the wrong side of the road is not a laughing matter, I've lost many friends over the years to motorbike accidents, and all thought they could ride bikes, however its often down to the other road user, wrong time wrong place. Passing a bike test does not make you a competent rider, this can take years, some people never get to that level of competence, traffic conditions today are so much harder than the 70'2 & 80's when i was learning. personannly at sixteen years of age, you had to ride a whole year before you could put on for a test. this taught you awareness and road craft, albeit at 40PMH, on a moped, on a good day. I would finish with this, pls pls spend more time leaning road riding, in towns, heavy traffic conditions, wet and dry riding, day and night too, your awareness of other road users need to be improved, that's not even talking about the other road users that should not even be allowed to be a road user. 🙂 Anyhow good luck, off-roading this will teach you bike handling, the other stuff is hours of practicing.
Get yourselves to mick extance experience in wales he’s brilliant at teaching all abilities plus you could take your own bikes there or they have bikes you can hire try and get mick himself to take you out for the day
Well done to you both and you are doing amazing Martha and you are a lot braver than me I'm 37 and only now learning to drive a car 😂

Try the Mick Exstance off road school ex Dakar rider and top bloke
some cone drills will help her turning greatly..
Martha you and your boy friend should come to the east riding of Yorkshire to bishop Burton village and park up your motor home and take off on your trikes bikes to market.weighton or into beverley city centre
Try riding in a higher gear and rest a finger on the front brake it will help maintain a smooth throttle :-)
With regards to training, I can highly recommend Louise and Paul at Sweet Lamb off road training school in Wales. Louise runs womens only beginners weekends, next level, next next level and advanced training. They also offer couples weekends and one to one sessions. Give them a look, it's great fun. X

Hint: I find the quick switching between the both of you while talking and driving a little annoying...
