I took Ayahuasca and moved to Africa
Since I have officially been living on this continent for over a year now I wanted to make a video highlighting the last year of my life. This video is what I came up with.
To sum it up my original plan was to stay In Africa for a year. During this year I had the fortune of visiting 7 different countries . I got to run my own surf camps and also ran an untrained marathon for a charity I was able to get involved in. I had the craziest year of my life. This is a video showcasing all of that.
Even though the year is up i'm not quite ready to leave this beautiful continent either. So I had an idea. I bought my own car and put a mattress in the back and my plan is to drive it all the way back home to Ireland. I'll use this platform to post longer videos documenting my journey back home so follow along for the journey. :)

As an African this breaks my heart because we can't have this much fun and peace in our own continent, we are barely making means. I guess we're to blame. beautiful content. keep it up!!

Africa has been systemically degraded and exploited for centuries by colonial countries and now by neocolonialism. It most defiently isn’t the fault of the people all though it is our job now to rebuild and take hold of our own reigns

Yeah sadly this is something that I felt too. It's beautiful content, and I could be wrong here but I honestly feel the community of foreigners breaks the barrier to entry with the help of travel and nomad visas. Living like this is unattainable for us locals. We never really get the opportunity to let go because we're clutching just for our weekly survival. Again the comment resonated with me and it's truly a video I enjoyed ❤

That’s because luxury is making you trapped in an illusion. Take away materialism and you can. Learn to farm and be sustainable. The west is not as good as you think. More money more problems
Dude your storytelling and cinematography skills are seriously crazy

This is so cool! I grew up in Jbay. Never thought I'd click on the video and see faces I grew up seeing in Jbay! Very inspiring video. Keep posting!
Awesome stuff, love the idea of driving all the way to Ireland! Can’t wait to see that journey
Saw the title of this video and decided it would be an interesting watch. Was so excited to see that you went to SA and then met Jimeal! I met him 4-5 years ago when I was staying in Muizenberg in South Africa. Really cool to get an update on someone I only met briefly via a random KZread video like this. Definitely worth a sub

Ahhh wow that’s so cool!! Thank you for watching brother it’s such a small world once you get moving
Absolutely love this. As a South African and someone who loves JBay, It is so cool to see it showcased skillfully and with so much heart. Thanks for not only coming here and enjoying all the natural beauty but for getting involved with NGO's and raising awareness. We need more travellers like you. I can't wait to see what comes next for you as your journey through Africa.
You’re are doing it amazing Jackkieeee✨
Absolutely captivating. Especially loved the raw and real moments shown every now and then. You are going to create a movie someday and show this clip at the very end of ‘how it all began’. True skillset. Also, I have been planning the exact solo live in your car trip across NZ end of this year and watching your journey was the support I didn’t know I needed. Thank you!

This is brilliant content Jack, I came over from Instagram, glad I did. In a dream world, I would travel the world and make documentaries about all the places & people I met on the way. I imagine it would probably look a lot like this. Keep it up. I can't wait to see the next instalment, watching made me so tempted to ditch the day job and head to the nearest airport 😂

Cool video, reminds me of some similar memories in some of those same places and dreams to visit the ones I haven’t made it to yet. Mauritius was certainly an excellent spot for a visa run. Wondering if you had any issues coming back in to SA after Madagascar? I’ve heard you have to go further but it seems like a grey area
