That tank looks kinda small to (sorry for being a month late), axolotls grow pretty big later in their life. Also, Birbo, if an axolotl gets to many cuts/gets their limbs torn off to much, their regenerated parts may deform and such.

I suggest putting butters in a dark place since light gives stress to many axolotl so decreasing the light is better for your axolotl , I am saying this because the more stressed your axolotl is the shorter her life is

best thing is to fly in a bright and loud plane and put the axolotl in a way too small plastic bag

How to risk a rare fishes life: 1: carry it in a plastic bag and always showing it off to the camera, totally not gonna drop 2: spider wood. Axolotls have soft skin and the wood can easily cut the axolotls, sure they can regenerate fast but this is a baby we're talking about 3: show literary the sun to the axolotl next to the window 10/10 fish not gonna die

The mixture of too sharp edges of the plastic and the wood, can quickly become a danger to the axolotl. The wood increases the likelihood of Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis, also called BD infection. Unfortunately, this disease can cause it to die quickly. Of course, this is not meant to be an attack, but just the information about it.

Look at the comments. She doesn’t know what she’s doing. Touching the axolotl can get them very sick due to the bacteria on your hands. Along with the wood in the tank and sharp edges of the tank being a hazard for it.

@@skyssketchbook as long as you don’t excessively touch your axolotl, then they’ll be just fine. (Not saying you *should* touch your axolotl, but you shouldn’t a lot) aaaand, I have wood in my axolotl’s tank, and he’s *never* hurt himself, and I’ve had my 2 water puppies for about 3-4 years now. Other than the touching, (which would also be my only nitpick) then everything else was pretty accurate. Edit: also, I forgot to make one more teensy nitpick. I know that the airport was a high light area, but it was just a temporary trip, and it shouldn’t have hindered the axolotl in any way.

When I moved town a few years ago I needed to take a 4 hour ferry ride. I carried my axolotl around the ship in a clear bucket and sat him on the bar while I had a few beers. He was a great conversation starter.

Cant wait to see him all grown up!

hello here greetings from Mexico the axolotl is an endemic animal you cannot take it out of its place of origin since it will die after a while but it will die faster than normal I do not recommend that you repeat this since the word endemic means that it comes from only 1 place and this is from Mexico so if you take it to another place you would have to make a more suitable ecosystem for it

Axolotls are natural predators and theyre going endangered because of the changes around the world mostly global warming and pollution he would die by the next week by natural causes, poison or being eaten. She did some dumb stuff but better than letting a extremely rare animal die

his tank is much bigger than his own body and he alot of space to swim around in, the fish tank is set up to replicate a cave and natural seabed environment also, im sure they wouldnt just let her take an animal home as a pet if it isnt safe/animal friendly

I don’t think that’s how it works though. There is a lot less pressure in water.

I don’t think it’s good to have an axolotl as pet like many other animals. But I definitely don’t think it’s great to take one with the plane just bc it’s rare.
