I tracked and rally raced a Porsche. Some folks are confusing “racing” vs “open track”. Racing you don’t get out of the way and block. Open track etiquette and safety is to move over for faster traffic. I conservatively counted 3 times Misha had to let off. Glad you enjoyed it, GM hit it out the park with this one. One thing, it's not an LS technically, it's called the LT2. Sure, it's a beefed up newer version of it :) Funny part how he said it doesn't breathe well up top, it's likely the cam. A cammed LS3 will put out LT2 rwhp, they are a limited due to the OHV geometry and powerband vs efficiency and testing emissions. If he does cam and a few other things it'll be much more responsive, I'd leave the intake alone though GM did a good design there, it's variable tuning already.

It will be treated like this 20 years from now. When those old guys can no longer drive and there 15 to $20,000 like the c5 is now
That little hatchback on the opening lap did a fine job.
I am working harder every day to get one of these. That sound.
Great video, the red Golf was on it!
Hitting the shift perfect.
Sup Mish, Love this drive especially the view points. Do more of these types of videos with the same camera angles. We here in Barbados🇧🇧 are loving it 👍
I haven't watched Misha for maybe a year now (personal business at home) but it's good to come back and see his lap round the 'ring is still a thing of beauty...It's pure dynamic art!!
Very exciting to hear a real verdict on this C8 chassis at the ring. This goes right along with what I was expecting really glad it is what I hoped it was. I hold Mishas opinions in high regard especially when it comes to vehicle dynamics. Excellent video
Anyone else see that red gti in the beginning 😳😳😳
Love it Misha, Nice run as ALWAYS! Thanks mate,
Always amazed at your driving skill and the way you are so humble ...stay blessed!
The top down easy lap is absolutely blistering. Some awesome driving here
I would love a video of you ranking the best cars you've ever driven
I really like that you’ve been including these awesome B-roll portions to your videos
Driving the Green Hell in a C8 is epic. Thanks for sharing

We need more details on the mods,,,that thing scoots.
all other review told us this model does understeer all the time. But when I see you driving, this mid-ship corvette is really good!
A Great driver who really enjoys driving some wonderful cars, he can push them in all aspects but never too far, these laps were some of the Best I've seen, many thanks for sharing such great entertainment 🤗
Your videos are my favorite, so chill and informative. The driving is amazing. Well done all around.
That was just fun as hell to watch. Great job guys!
Great vid Misha! It’s great watching you drive. Calm, cool, chill… total badazz behind the wheel. Well done 👍 (and kudos to the owner for sharing his ‘vette).

I told Misha the same thing, he's calm and collected and I look like I could be ejected at any second 😂

16:40 Lol the owner was so confused as to what that noise was, props to how smooth you were with retrieving the key
oh my god man that guy REEEALY took it around the track
Wow! Impressive ride on the world's most impressive course! Can't wait to see the Z06, its sound and lap times.
200kPa oil pressure below 6K RPM jeeesus. The madness to improve the fuel economy never ends! Also the engine temp at the end of the lap HOLY MOLY.

109C water and 119 oil? looks ok 🤷♂️ 200kPa is it too low?

Perfectly normal values temps after 2 laps 40+ km hard driving.

LT1/LT2 oil pressure sensor is at the end of the oiling circuit. Pressure reads low because of that. The engine is a dry sump with several oil pump (savenging/main oil pump and secondary ones). Oil pressure is perfectly fine, this is a variable flow pump driven by a proportional solenoid, which allow change of volume. Less than 120C on a track is really good
Can't stop watching this. Amazing and thanks for sharing and letting him drive that beast.
I really enjoyed watching this video. It felt like I was actually driving. Subbed for sure! Thanks.
“Need the ballast?” I appreciate his random reference to the boating world. Funny guy!!
I’m the single worst passenger in the world. I have zero issues driving 170 mph+, in fact I absolutely love it, but put me in the passenger seat & I’m scared as a little girl. Lol.
Glad to see even a chill lap on the ring.
Nice great car and awesome driver. I enjoyed watching you cruise around the track. And no rain!.
That was fun to actually see c8 on the ring. Great video!! Cheers
It doesn't have the "LS" engine, it is a new generation called "LT" , a redevelopped V8 "smallblock" it has direct injection and things like that. *Smallblock refers to the method of construction of the engine, a bigblock has the pushrods outside of the V bank, a smallblock has the pushrods (for the valves) inside the V bank. A bigblock can be 4.9 ltr displacement, and a smallblock has up to nearly 8 ltrs displacement as a possibility.

Ah always wondered the difference between big and small block. Thanks for clearing that up.
@Timmayytoo

Unfortunately most of that is incorrect. The difference between a big block Chevy and a small block is simply the overall design and ultimate displacement of the engine. Historically the small block stopped around 400 cubic inches (6.5L), and the big block picked up from there. The current generations of small block, starting with the LS, are capable of reaching 427ci (7.0L) and current versions of the big block that GM Performance sells can reach 532ci (8.7L), with even more possible using custom blocks. Both small and big block engines are Over Head Valve which means the camshaft is in the V of the engine, therefore the pushrods are always located inside the V because they transfer the action of the camshaft to the rocker arms which open the valves. While there are quite a few detail differences between the two engine designs, they are both OHV pushrod V8s

I pretty much know as much about the LT as everyone else here but I'd still say you can say the LT is basically an LS. Big deal the componants are shapped a bit differently and it has the di, vvt, and computer to run the 8 and 10 speeds. It's still a lightweight alloy gm engine. What other engine does it have as much in common with? I'd say it's closer to the LS then the LS was to the gen 1 and 2 type motors. The LT is more like a gen 4.75. Calling it just a 4.5 probably wouldn't be enough. Just think of it as your girlfriend LS and LT you can cuddle the same. An old small block. That's just not the same it's like a differnet human!

@@Timmayytoo Biggest GM small block now is LSX with 7.4 L and 630 HP , current biggest big block is ZZ632 -1004 HP ,successor of 572ci-9.4L -720 HP . These engines sells as crate engines for enthusiasts and doesn't have direct injection system as LT series. Big or small block is just about bore spacing .

DI… So the intake ports would need a walnut clean after 2 Mischa laps of the Nordschleife. I’ll stick with LS thanks 😅
