@@patriciamackinnon4772 I know of the role, but haven't seen the film yet. It's on my list. I also know of her from her years on the X-Files, but have never seen a single episode. This interview was actually the first time that I've heard her speak or interact with anyone, and I've watched it several times in the meantime! Be still, my beating heart!!! 💓

saw her in london with a friend in 2019. he told her that she looked amazing and she responded saying “you sound surprised!” still laugh about that to this day.

Yea..they talk about the guest they’re gonna have on for 40 minutes then don’t give them even ten minutes sometimes. They’re so busy worrying about ad breaks and being on time they don’t stop to think about quality

If you've ever been interviewed, Gillian's shocked "are we done?" here is so understandable - your mind is racing so much the whole time that 10 minutes can feel like a few seconds.

"Are we done?" NOOO! Talk to Gillian for HOURS! She's so wonderful!!!

'An INTERNATIONA Treasure... at the least! 'Loved seeing Gillian around Vancouver during those first five years of the original nine seasons of ''The X-Files'', when it was shot (both studio interiors and Beautiful BC exteriors) around the Greater Vancouver Regional District (now AKA Metro Vancouver)! As usual (as i recall) YVR was standing in for a West Coast American city! 'Portland or Seattle perhaps? ' RCMP in Canada not FBI! 😅 Then David Duchovny insisted on moving production to LA, so we only saw fleeting glimpses of Canada's Left Coast in verdant exteriors (again as i recall as a rather casual viewer). Both of the later followup seasons were shot on the BC South Coast as well, as were most of the two X-Files feature films! David Lynch s ''Twin Peaks'' was actually shot around Seattle, as I recall from some famous waterfalls and hiking trails that I recognized in the series! Those were the good ol days! Women connecting, telling their stories & discovering their own truths. Life shaping & ever changing as I saw life thru my daughter & then granddaughter's eyes. How grateful I am for this memory. My tattered, well annotated & underscored copies of Nancy Friday's books are stacked beside me. Years of self discovery. Where shall I begin? "My Mother, My Self", "Our Looks, Our Lives" or "Forbidden Flowers" or "Men In Love" or ...

She is a brilliant actress.

Mr. Colbert, you OBVIOUSLY MUST have Gillian Anderson BACK for a MUCH, MUCH longer interview. Like so many others have commented, I am a huge fan, and had a crush as well (still do). I know it is unlikely that she would ever read these comments but Gillian looked fabulous during this interview, at the awards, and in the photo op with Emily Maitlis.

I watched the Xfiles once in a while. Gillian Anderson seemed to get better looking every time I saw her.
