The media of which he is part loves to exaggerate events , Britain has always had a problem with countries on the continent had he any knowledge of history he would know we get on well with Europe in our times . His whole act ,which is bs is to divert our attention from the immigration crisis ,and it is failing . The BBC needs more intelligent, long form, conversations that HONESTLY reflect people’s concerns. You can’t just tell people that they’re just WRONG to feel what they feel & insult them! When people explain their problems with immigration, for example, there are points that the majority agree with ; Numbers to high because we haven’t the housing or infrastructure investment to keep-up. Politicians say, “We hear you”. Next year the numbers increase AND we build less houses & don’t build all the new schools, hospitals, doctors etc. What do people do?

I could barely listen to this all the way through, never mind read the book - it's all so terribly depressing what has become of this country. Possibly the worst thing about it all is that there's nobody, politically, standing up to it. Even if Starmer wins the next election, it'll still be pretty much business as usual. Perhaps a little less extreme, but not hugely. We need a genuine political revolution. We need to try turning the country off and on again.
