By Randy Travis
Published April 1, 2024

You hit the nail on the head. I currently know judges and attorneys like this too, but they are still working in the legal profession. ; ( . We would go to prison for wrongfully sending someone to jail on a civil matter like this so called judge did. She is lucky she is only being fired. I hope that lady who was wrongfully put in jail sues that judge for damages.

You nailed it there. She is un-lived, racist herself, ignorant, lacking introspection, and a complete bully. She had the world at her hands/feet (undeservedly so) and used it/abused it. In fact, she appears "so off" in her views, her behaviors, her outlandish bullying and inability to be impartial - she is EXTREMELY UNQUALIFIED to be a member of any state's Bar / to be a judge and/or work in ANY legal capacity - flagrant in her behavior, to say the least.

It didn't matter if it was Court Staff, Bar Members, litigants, defendants, or witnesses. She would insult and belittle if anyone showed concern she didn't understand their legal argument. The fact that 30 allegations of misconduct are revealed and she cannot acknowledge a single one is the major reason she should be removed, prevented from running again and potentially have her law license taken. A hallmark of maturity is recognizing your own mistakes and taking responsibility. She's old enough to know better. She treated her position like rock stardom with absolutely no understanding of how she should conduct herself. She throws a woman in jail for wanting to change her marriage license? It is unbelievable. Plus all the social media posts are also indicative of how clueless she is. For someone who went to law school and passed the bar exam (which is super hard), she is not very swift about the profession. Maybe she should be an actress, then she could be as outrageous as she wants.

What does her being congratulated have to do with all of her violations?! Nothing... She thought she was above the law and now she has to face the consequences of her actions. And having inexperience as a judge does not negate the many violations that have nothing to do with being a new judge. The things she did wasn't by mistake of not knowing a law, she thought she could exert her power over people and get away with anything.

This is what haPpens when minority students are " handed up" the system instead of being held to the standards expected of them in their profession. Her law professors and the state Bar dud her no favors and should shoulder some of the blame here. ..along either her ego that was clearly more interested in the prestige of being a judge then actually doing the job. Competently.
