If the judge says it was legit and on record w the court reporter, why is he so concerned about anyone discussing it? Was it only going to be an open secret after the trial? That alone would be grounds for an appeal if there is a conviction. The lawyer should avoid any future cases which have that judge presiding.

I'd have filed an emergency appeal asap and our Court of Appeals would have slapped that judge down as soon as they read my filing.

Hes lying when he said he didnt know there was going to be an ex parte meeting , judge said it last friday .and what copeland said about himself in that meeting is irrelevant hes got an immunity from charges and he had a lawyer in there the court reporter and clerk were also in there so hardly a secret meeting it was on record . Steeles a fool , hes twisted this out of proportion always threatening to drop dead , its pathetic and cringey and not the actions of a professional grown man.

I've sat in a courtroom and when they called it into session the judge, after everyone was seated, stated to counsel that it was making it aware that it had met with opposing counsel and then had the court reporter read into the record what was discussed. The attorney thanked the judge. That was that. This seems to be on a whole other level of what seems like judicial and prosecutorial misconduct.

It sounds like the Judge got caught 'fixing' the court, 'fixing' the outcome and then got REAL defensive with his hand in the cookie jar then accused the Attorney of Contempt of Court and when that didn't work, shut him up by leaving the court room ALL for the purpose of not letting the Attorney explain what happened and how it was violating the rights of his client. . This appears to be very crooked. .
