In most legal systems, ex parte communication between a judge, witness, and prosecutor without the defense present is generally considered unethical and may be prohibited. It undermines the principle of fair trial and due process. Such communication could lead to bias or unfair advantage, which is why court proceedings typically require all parties to be present or properly notified.

Because he’s caught out the Judge doing shady shit and he knows if he outs the mole he can pin it all on them. But the lawyer won’t because legally he doesn’t have to.

This is why basic law should be taught in High School - as a defendant or a possible witness, you should KNOW when someone is doing something that is against the law and your basic rights.

I don't care what this young man has done, I don't care if he's been charged with the most heinous murder. After watching what's going on with this judge, I am rooting so hard for this to be a not guilty verdict or to have this case thrown out. It doesn't matter what the defendant has done. If the judicial system is going to turn into this kangaroo nonsense it must be stopped.. I'm a retired defense attorney and it is unheard of totally unheard of for a judge to engage in an ex parte meeting with the prosecutor without the defense attorney their. I mean this is just mind-boggling. I mean could it be possible that this judge doesn't know that? Actually, speaking from experience, I can tell you it is a possibility that the judge does not know that this is totally improper. I can tell you from handling 5,000 cases that typically the dumbest one in the whole equation is the judge. The absolute dumbest most unknowledgeable person in the courtroom is typically the judge. But this is law school 101 this is criminal law 101, the judge may not engage in meetings with one attorney without the other one being present. This is mind-boggling that this happened. And what's more mind-boggling is that the judge doesn't seem to realize that what he's doing is completely improper and and is grievable. This judge can be thrown off the bench for this.

So they tried to coerce a witness while he was locked up in jail to testify. Instead of addressing the issue the judge then wants to know who told the attorney the information. I’m not for or against anyone but this is shady and not how the justice systems is supposed to work. Any and all info should be shared with everyone. Hiding what they did is shady, arresting the attorney for calling it out is flat out wild.
