This is the Polaris Slingshot SL. Two wheels up front, one belt driven wheel out back. No roof, no doors, and absolutely no restraint by the designers when they came up with this extremely angular and outlandish bodywork. Today let's cruise around Los Angeles in this audacious three wheeled vehicle, see some iconic landmarks and unique neighborhoods, and experience the completely unconventional driving experience that a Slingshot provides.

What do you think of the Slingshot?

None of the advantages of a motorbike, all of the disadvantages plus some more. Also more disadvantages than a regular car... I get the attraction but I'd prefer to be on a bike or in a proper convertible.

Looks weird, which I enjoy. I want to like it, but I don't. I'll take a Miata and a motorcycle instead.
These are my favorite videos of yours Ethan. Driving exploring around various areas with localized commentary.

Yes I really like this dual thing you did.
These things were incredibly popular in Atlanta from the week they came out. They are less popular in New Orleans. In Atlanta, they were almost always festooned with lots of LEDs and shockngly loud stereo systems.
I said I would never own one. Now I have a brand new R. Love it!
not so sure about this thing but absolutely loved the city tour !
Great review...and nice pelican dive at 12:22!

Thanks!! Funny thing is I didn't even see it when I was filming. Only noticed when watching the footage later.
I have a 2016sl and I absolutely love it. I had to sell my bike due to back surgery and bought this and have never looked back. I have so much fun in my toy.
I had to look up the fuel economy. Around 25 mpg is much lower than I expected. I've always liked these. It would come down to this or a Jeep Wrangler as a fun summer car. And honestly, when I see someone drive by in one of these with music playing at a reasonable volume, I do think to myself "that guy is cool". And yes, please for the love of god, pedestrianize Hollywood Blvd in front of the Chinese and Dolby Theatres.
Damn, I kinda want more driving vids now, I didn't realise how pretty the real LA is...
I think this is a cool vacation vehicle. I don’t think anyone wants one for daily use but it’s unique, quirky and fun. Also my 6 year old son thinks they are amazing.
Unusual, but fun looking summer vehicle. Probably not so much in snowy and icy winter :D Enjoyed the LA tour as well 👍
Thanks for the nice tour of Los Angeles. It reminded me of my first trip to that city in 2006.

Thanks for watching!! :) :)
If given the option of a Miata I'll take the Miata every time ~ Yes I watched all the way through and yes I dropped a like and yes I'm asking once again for you to drop the Nova twin cam slightly on some Koni yellows / some Watanabe wheels or just more videos of it ~ Thank you in advance 🙏🤓🙏
Nice video dude. I did your view on slightly unusual vehicles. I tend to think of new cars as tot snoozfests. But you have a way of finding things that make me think "oh ok, that might be cool."
I really like the Slingshot. Definitely does look like more of an occasion kind of vehicle but that’s ok! Looked like fun cruising along exposed to the elements
This is such a great video. Very informative about the vehicle, and also great to see so many L.A. landmarks.

Thanks for watching!! 😀😀
Sounds kind of like driving my foxbody Mustang convertible. You're exposed to the elements, there are no safety features and you need to be hyper aware of others while while driving it, because if you get hit, you're dead. Except it has 4 wheels, doors, and a backseat.
oddly enough those things are quite common around Baltimore area. you see em on weekends in the summer, music blasting. often covered in flashing lights too. drivers with no helmets. idk if MD sees it as a Motorcycle
I would add the rear wheels kit to make it look better.
9:25 its a renault captur with diplomat plates !!

Nice video nice slingshot
Cool vehicle, great review! However, this thing is not for me.
Personally, i like them
It's a motorcycle for people with bad balance, lol
People still buy these? Anyways, looks like fun to cruise around!
The aptera is the more sensible of the 2, though the slingshot has one major benefit: you can actually buy it right now 🥲
