Okay, I love raft, I find it very relaxing and fun. Tips, Shark hunting is fantastic, use shark bait to lure him in and kill, he'll swim off but will keep returning to the bait. Save the animal heads, they work the best in the fuel refiner. Shark steaks are great, but there's much better food that has better effects later on. You also don't need to destroy foundation blocks to upgrade them, just need to change the look you want in the hammer's menu and then you can spend the additional resources to just upgrade them. The fishing shacks super useful, you'll have to buy the bait and use it to get special fish, which you sell back at the fishing shack and unlock each of the tiers for better stuff. Worth doing, but it takes awhile. I'll stop there, but can't wait to see more

Definitely here for 200 days and more. The nice thing about a lot of these newer survival games is that they don't rely on an infinite sandbox like Minecraft. So, you can actually finish them. And Raft seems to be one of the funner ones. Skyes should do a horror themed one at some point. Not necessarily The Forest, because that has kinda been overdone lately, but something along those lines.

@@firedragongaming6435 Newer as in philosophy. As opposed to the older "emergent" experiences that usually ended up as Rust clones. I've played several and I can't even remember names. Basically there were the old-school Rust-likes which meant nothing unless you were on a populated server, The Forest/Subnautica which used survival mechanics but were more geared to solo/small scale co-op play and usually had a story and the Ark/Conan Exiles middle ground which kinda worked in both cases.

Some of the cooking stuff can give you buffs so it can be worth it. It will actually extend your hunger and thirst bars. It’s definitely not necessary but it is something that is quite nice when you get to the story islands so you don’t have to carry as much food/water

I would really like you to keep playing this. I want to see how everything ends. I started watching other people play this game but it got boring really fast, but you've made it so much more entertaining and your sense of humor and commentary gets me every time.

For the trading hut first you need to get the recycler ( sort of end game item ) but once you put enough raw resources like leaves wood or plastic in it, you'll get trash cubes. use trash cubes to buy the first bait to catch the tier 1 fish which will sell and give you coins, then you'll unlock the tier 2 lure for the t2 fish etc. it all starts with the recycler though.

I didn't mention it on the second channel? You need fishing bait, which you can get after story point 1. Will see if you find this out later. 51:54

For skyes: to get the fish at the market you need to buy the fishing bait, it at the top of the list, then you do normal fishing and you’ll have one of those cool looking fish (I don’t actually play raft but I’ve watched videos on raft so I know this stuff) hope this helped!

First of all he has to find titanium to build the recycler. For the titanium he needs the metal detector. The Blueprint is on a story island. It's a middle-to-late game device.

For the traders hut fish you need to buy the bait at the top of each tier. Then when you fish you need to put the bait on the rod. I believe it’s right click to select then you can catch the fish to sell back to him. BUT you need the trash cubes to buy stuff, wool has the best conversion rate, 4 to 1. Special note: shark heads are worth keeping because they are great for making biofuel later on. Keep the videos coming!

RAFT!!!!! I've been hoping you would play this game. Thank you. I have something to watch now after a long day

Skyes I'm beggin ya, if you do another 100 days of Raft don't just give up on the Cooking Pot and the Juicer because of the Shark Meat and the advanced purifier. I'm not going to lie, cooked shark meat is good and easy to get, but there's one benefit to the Cooking Pot and Juicer that's not immediately obvious. At the end when you drank that smoothie you saw the extra temporary thirst gauge there. The Juicer makes drinks that give you those. The Cooking Pot does the same for food. Temporary Thirst and Hunger is the obvious part. This by itself is good. The not so obvious part is that the Temporary Thirst and Hunger deplete *slower* then your normal Thirst and Hunger gauge, so you have to eat and drink less if you actually have those temporary gauges. This helps you out a lot when you get to the giant islands(Story areas and trader posts mostly). The more advanced food even gives you buffs, like a bigger oxygen gauge. Other things I wanted to mention, you weren't wrong that the bow was killing the shark faster on your other channel. The reason for this is simple; you used Metal Arrows on your other channel. Metal Arrows do more damage then Stone Arrows, Stone is just a lot easier to get then Metal and far less riskier to use because if you lose a Stone Arrow, who cares? The Screecher(Boulder Bird as you called it) is more easily fought from the peaks of islands then below at the base of it. It forces the Screecher to fly up at you instead of coming down from above. Being above it gives you a better shot. From there you just aim a little bit above the Screecher and shoot when it's getting close to you. Before it drops the rock. Screecher gets close, shoot the bow, run forward to duck under the boulder. Easy Screecher strat. You won't get all your arrows back doing this, because the Screecher takes so long to fly back and forth to pick up new rocks, but it's very safe once you understand it. If you see a Trading Post, there's always going to be a Screecher and at least 1 boar. I've seen 2 sometimes, and 1 time the island glitched or something and the Screecher didn't spawn but a boar did in it's place so I had a single Trading Post island with 3 boars on it. Haven't seen a 3 boar island since that one single time, so I'm not sure if you would see it. Flipping this around a bit, if you see a Boar there's a Screecher somewhere, most likely.

2:30:40 - I have been so curious for so long now about the "Vasagatan" place because it's an actual place in Sweden. Turns out, Raft *is* a Swedish game

I swear when I played this game, you're able to replace shit flooring to better flooring without breaking it. I must have dreamt it. Also, cooking pot and juicer are pretty fun to get food and drinks from, it's not practical but if you have resources to use up, why not use them up with style? (: I look forward to the 200 days, you always make one of the best videos when it comes to this genre❤

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED! You must finish the story, final island-end to story is very satisfying. Prep for Balboa: food and water, weapons, and a Sweep Net so you can catch bees. You can then make honey-and Biofuel. Biofuel starts with Balboa. You will want Honey. Also, you never tamed a llama.....so you can not make a Backpack-yet, and also Body Armor. Strongly recommend making the Net Cannon and getting one Clucker, one Goat, and one Llama. All three should be avail on the next two story islands. Goat milk is mayhaps the least important of the critter/bennies. Milk used in one or two food recipes. While Llama is most needed NOW. BACKPACK, BODY ARMOR Food improvements are important to finishing the game. Juicer and Cookpot both. Buffs like Evade Death, and Swim Faster, and Better Lung Capacity become possible. All high tear foods/drinks give the boost of food drink needs satisfied for longer durations. Very useful when exploring. BLUE ALGEA is used for really good buff food/drink. THE Best recipes are BLUE in color, and can all be found at the trader. And Online BTW.

Hey Skyes, I've played alot of Raft (over 250 hours). You were correct on the blueprints. Also you should collect flows foe the seeds (they are used to make honey, which is used to make biofuel, which powers engines, so they are important to get). Also the sharks name is Bruce.....true Raft fans would be mad with Billy 🤣🤣

So to get the special fish u first have to craft a recycler + battery for it and then put in materials in the recycler, for example wood, leafs, iron, feathers, a lot of stuff basically. So when u have put in enough of that (different materials gives different values) you will eventuellt get a scrap cube which you can trade in at the shopping posts on the big island for bait (starts at 1 teir bait but as you sell and buy more stuff u can eventually buy higher teir stuff). When you do have the baits you can right click while holding a fishing rod and you get a small menu where you can pick different types of bait if you have it in ur inv, after you got the bait equipped you can just fish as normal then later sell the fish at the shop to get coins that you can use to buy stuff. Hope that helps :)

I absolutely love raft and its world lore.. the last storyline (finale) update was insane and i can't wait to see you discover everything!

My tactics in early game raft are: Throw the ancor while you are quite a distance from an island, swim to the island, deagro the shark by going on the island, wait for shark to go back to raft, freely explore the underwater areas around the island. Gather 14 clay and 14 sand to make a smelter asap so that upgraded tools, weapons and storage is available as early as possible. A tactic I learned from my brother that works all throughout is, With storage chests, they can be placed on walls. If you place walls directly opposite eachother (one tile inbetween) you can place chests on each wall, maximising storage space. Quite a few things can be placed on walls which allows a fair number of space management techniques. You just have to get creative.

Skyes, Trading Post goodies unlock with the new Recycler machine( 1.)you can make from crafting menu. (2.) Toss excess junk into recycler to get Trash Cubes. (3.) Trade cubes for special fishing bait. (4.) Fish with the bait. (5.) Trade special fishies for Trade Coin. Use coin and cubes to buy all the goodies and level up the three levels. Luv this game way 2 much. Scarecrow is awesome, and actually scares the gulls away, does not break. Didja ever make the metal detector? Allows you to treasure hunt the islands for MORE goodies. For me during the storms, my raft and I clip under water and the shark doesn’t even react 😂 also first island I went on, I found Pumba and almost died 3 times cause of him. To get those unique fish you need to buy bait with trash cubes (You can get trash cubes by sacrificing items to a trash compactor? "or at least I think that's what it's called") then you sell those fish for reputation to upgrade the shop to buy new bait and get new fish and items.

Skyes you need to buy the bait in the shop and then use the metal rod with it to catch the fish to sell for coins in the shop to buy the items and increase prestige.

Suggestions goals for next 100 day (cuz I'd love to see it): make a special aria for the food and water, organize the chests on the pillar in front of the bed (you can hang them on a wall too, so that way they're not taking as much space), catch a chicken and a lama (it'll be fun seeing you try to catch em), and have fun!! I'm really excited for the next 100 day of raft i really love this game. PS: sorry if i spelled anything wrong I'm dyslexic.

Raft has to be one of the best games I've played, your run was... different but defenetly entretaning. Please continue this series to make it to 200 days or even more

Heh, "I think the steering wheel is required". It's really not. Came back to this to watch it again, and since the first time I played a Raft randomizer. It gave me the engine near the beginning of the game but it didn't give me the steering wheel until the end of the game. It really sucked needing to use engines without having access to the steering wheel, but you better believe I got a ton of use out of the engines before I got the steering wheel and they got me where I needed to go. It wasn't always ideal and I kinda had to resort to paddles and/or the sail if I needed to..........not turn, but align myself with where I was trying to go better. Basically I just had to use the sail and paddles until the place I was trying to go was in front of the engines and then I set them to go. It worked but oh man it was a hassle. Didn't help that paddles were a mid/late game unlock, I just got a few from treasure chests. Silver Algae is used to cook stuff in the cooking pot, or in the juicer. I wouldn't recommend getting rid of them or stopping collecting them, as they are used in Salmon Salad and don't appear often. Good buff food that increases the size of your oxygen meter for 10 minutes after eating them(I recommend getting the ability to cook this or you WILL regret it for certain islands) Yes do 200 days. I'm here for it.

I am doing a Let's Play as well on Raft right now and you need a trash press. You can put everything you want in there, like leaves and plastik and other recorcess and then you can trade those trash cubes for bait. The bait is then needed to get those special fish.
