He’s lucky to have such a cheerful and childlike partner (especially in todays world where everyone’s stressed and depressed), and she’s lucky to have such a supportive partner who seems to also enjoy a bit of silliness. I'm not gonna assume i know what a normal day in you home feels like so please don't bite my head off for this suggestion;- perhaps you could give him subtle hints that you'd appreciate thoughtful gifts feom him no matter how little. A good way to do that is to get him one and say you saw the aforementioned gift and you thought it'll make him happy.

​@@debbielove5993I'd actually suggest the opposite of dropping hints. Just tell him out right you'd appreciate if he would buy you thoughtful gifts now and then. It may help or it may not, but if he doesnt know (and maybe you already have) then theres no opportunity. Im very low maintenance and dont care about gifts or celebrations, so my partner had to outright tell me he'd like for me to try for him. Im still not into it, but once i found out it mattered that much, i do it now to make him happy. Im not great at it lol but I at least try now.
