I had this at 20 weeks with my son. The relaxing hormones caused my pelvis to separate for birth way too fast and he put a band around my hips firmly that also helped support belly and I had so much relief I couldn’t even turn in bed it hurt so bad the pillow between legs never helped getting in/out of bed was a nightmare. I wore the band until the end

My hips constantly popped out of joint in my 2nd pregnancy. My first baby was only 12-21 months old during the time I was pregnant with my second baby, so we had baby gates everywhere in the house. I constantly had to step up and over the ones at the top and bottom of the stairs, many many times every day, sometimes carrying my toddler, sometimes carrying baskets of laundry, and that was murder on those hip joints. So painful when they'd go out of alignment and wouldn't pop back in .. spent my entire pregnancy like that.

Right? I had a chiro with baby # two say since hips wouldn’t stay in likely needed surgery after baby was born! ( I did not) also think I have Ehlers danlos syndrome which runs in my family as things sublux easily on me along w stretchy soft skin, super flexible etc. love my neuro chiro I go to last 5.5 yrs. Revival Chiropractic in Altamonte Springs is amazing. She is even training to be a doula I believe & adjusts newborn to 100+.

Bc for me it pops out so easily with some discomfort, but to move it pop it back is the very painful ( I now get instant anxiety now when it pops making me freeze in place afraid to move and know what needs to done)

A few months before my first was born i popped my right hip out of socket trying to get out of bed to pee and within seconds it popped back in . Went to my ob and they sent me to a chiropractor. Turns out my pelvis was twisted and tilted . For the last three months of my pregnancy my hip would pop out two to three times a week . Couldn’t even go grocery shopping without being in extreme pain . Never more thankful than the day of my c-section when the spinal block kicked in . The pain was gone and got to meet my son .

A chiropractor was adjusting my husband. Telling him to buy a particular pillow they sold. Guess what? He had Non-Hotchkins Lymphoma!(he survived a year and five days after diagnosis, had a stem-cell transplant with his own stem cells, was on his way to a bone-marrow transplant trial procedure from his brother, but passed away at 43 years young when our son was 4 yrs old and is in Heaven. This was 26 yrs ago this December that he passed away). No X-rays, no MRI's, no CT scans ordered prior and he had severe back and neck pain. Hope you cleared this with her Ob/Gyn!

@@HandleToWatch Given that they did not order any X-rays, MRI, CT scan even though he was in pain for well over 6 months or more, yes! The manipulation and their closed eyes to his pain made it worse! Our experience is just one person's experience that we know of......and could the next person that is malpracticed and marginalized die too? Yes! Mind you I would say this about any medical professional if the same scenario prevailed. If as a patient the issue can not be resolved in a short, reasonable period of time then a referral to a specialist is in order! Thank you for your kind words. Clearly, almost 26 years later it is still a touchy subject.😢💔

I went to my chiropractor during pregnancy, it was great. I have been going to this particular chiropractor before pregnancy and continued to go during postpartum. I never laid on my stomach after the first trimester during pregnancy, and the doctor never did adjustments like that and gave special care for what stage I was in. Even in postpartum, he did specific adjustments. I highly recommend getting adjustments from someone who is trained in pregnancy chiropractics.

I had that , my ligament between my pelvis was stretching. Advice to my preggers self: get off your feet whenever possible. Dont carry anything ever. Use the wheelchair when you are shopping or at zoos. Ask a shopping assistant to take your stuff to the car. Any tim you hurt sit down immediately. Put a scarf under your belly and let hubby stand behind you and hold the weight of the baby. Same after birth.

It’s not dangerous, there are specialized chiropractors though since they use very different techniques on pregnant women to make it safe. I know a lot of women who had tried EVERYTHING for their pain and this helped a ton. Babies too! :)

As someone who shattered their pelvis I promise u aren't "breaking ur pelvis "....trust me lol many people who suffer broken pelvis usually are deceased..as it is something that as a young person you can only really break in a high impact collision crash or accident. It's unlikely it will happen from an average fall down unless you're very elderly...

I’m 28 weeks and just asked my ob who’s a “real doctor” what to do about pelvic pain. She said there’s nothing that can be done and that’s just part of the third trimester.

Devon goes to a real doctor too, but having things like acupuncture, massage, and chiropractics as a complement to western medicine is ok.

Because real doctors NEVER cause permanent conditions through their medical mistakes.
