I struggle right now

Hi my loves!
Here comes a new little update from my life in the end of winter. It's been a long one, and this time of the year is usually very hard for me personally. But there's been so many beautiful and good things happening that have kept my spirit going.
Amazing northern lights almost every night and a lot of things has been done in my little house and future art studio. I look forward to share that with you in this video.
I also share an update about the creepy forest and how it's going with the sounds recordings, since a lot of you have been asking about that.
Hope you will enjoy the video! Sending you big hugs and lots of love! ♥

Jonna, I want to extend my deepest thanks to you and Johan. Your videos have helped me through some of the darkest times in my life, fighting cervical cancer and neurological Lyme. You inspired me to keep pursuing my dreams, and as of last week, I am officially Dr. Sam Costa, Ph.D.! Thank you for sharing your life and work with us. There were times when I questioned deeply if I could keep going, and your content helped remind me of how beautiful this world and this life can be. Sending you and your family so much love from the US

When you and Johan were at the table laughing and you were trying to share about the creepy forest update I just was smiling so big and felt so pulled into your cozy and genuine atmosphere. I love how authentic you both are. That is so rare in today’s world and I think that is why your videos resonate so intensely with millions. You’re not trying to be anything nor do you have an agenda. It’s so lovely that you let us in on that.

@@jonnajinton Hi Jonna, thank you for your wonderful videos. I am old, 82 y. o. to be exact. I am retired and live alone in the desert southwest of Arizona USA, an atmosphere very opposite to your beautiful northern Sweden. My Mom was Swedish. so when I discovered your videos today, I had a very immediate kinship with you and immediately Subscribed and Liked your videos. You also resemble my Mom in a way, not identical, but enough of facial structures that I found my heart connected to you in a close familial way. Thank you for that. Your personality, your demeanor, is so pure, if I may say, that I felt drawn into your soul, much the way I used to feel with my Mom when i was a very young, little boy. You reminded me of how much I miss her. Thank you for being you. You have filled my heart with her love.Yes, even at my age. I wish you the best, and hope life goes well for you, Johan, and Nanook. You have an amazing nearly 4.6 million subscribers. WOW! And more than 350 videos. Oh my goodness! I will be very busy for a long time as I watch each of your videos from your start many years ago. As I watch each one, i will be reminded of my Mom. Thank you for all of that. I really enjoy your open sharing of your thoughts as you are recording your videos. I like to imagine it would be much like listening to my Mom so many years ago. Thank you. Bob♥🌼🙏

For anyone following Jonna's videos from abroad: This spiritual and exploratory relationship to nature has very old root in nordic culture. We scare misbehaving children with the wolf coming to get them. Not that long ago we told tales about mighty Gods that explains things we observe in nature. We see dead relatives in animals we meet. All of this goes way back in time. I am not a spiritual person but I recognize that there is something timeless in the way we relate to nature in the nordic countries. There is a self interest in understanding the flows and cycles in nature. I guess it ties back to survival. In Sweden we have this old book that farmers used. It is called "bondepraktikan" and it was use to interpret what was going on in nature. This tradition lives on to this day. Entire classes of kids are sent into nature to be trained into recognizing specific bird calls and how things work in nature.

@@ShadowRider126 as Jonna mentioned, it‘s not the Sun itself that’s causing the problem, but the reflection of it on the bright white snow, the glare. White reflects most of the light while darker surfaces absorb some of it. So when you are constantly surrounded by snow, it is so bright that it hurts your eyes, almost as looking directly into the sun. So light sensitive people can suffer even more from headaches.

I had my very first accident and although I'm fine, it felt like all my financial responsibilities were starting to pile on, on top of my expenses from the accident. I had a wake up call one day when I decided to write down all the things that happened since the year started to now and I was incredibly surprised at the amount of positive things that happened and how clouded my mind was because of the one thing that went wrong. Fun fact about blueberries found in Sweden: they aren't the same as the blueberries in the rest of the world. In English they are called bilberries from the Danish word "bollebær" which means "dark berry". They are only found in the northern hemisphere. They have more pigment and are richer in taste than the common blueberry.

They are the same all over Europe and probably Russia too. It's the American ones that are different and those that are grown in gardens. Those are nice too, but you are so right about the wild European blueberries being more flavourful. (Now I checked with the Wikipedia and it says about 11 % of the Swedish forest land is covered with blueberry shrubs. 😮 )

Jonna, I hope you read this. I have the same problem at the end of winter or early spring here in Finland. The harsh cold light of this time of the year causes me head aches, hurt my eyes and even causes me nausea. It eases right away after trees starting to get their leaves and the light becomes softer and warmer coloured. What has helped me the most, blue blocking sun glasses with orange lenses. In my sun glasses, also the sides are protected so less hars cold and blue toned light hits my eyes.

It's crazy. We live in different parts of the world, yet you are describing perfectly how I have been feeling this past week or so. I live in Bountiful, Utah, USA. We have amazing snow here. We even hosted the Winter Olympics in 2002. This winter has been so very different. We have been in a drought for the majority of the past 20+ years. The Great Salt Lake has been drying up, and I see it from my home in the mountains every day, and I fear what will happen if it continues that way. However, our prayers were answered this winter. We have had more snowfall this year than any other year previously recorded. It has been incredible, and very welcome. That said, the past week or so has been very difficult. My birthday was on March 31st, and almost always my birthday is a marker for springtime. But not this year. It has been snowing, and snowing, and snowing. It seems like it shall never stop! I was laying here in my bed, not really feeling like doing anything, but I was gazing out the window. I had to look away, as I was getting snow-blindness. Even when I looked away and closed my eyes, I could still see the leftover impression of the harsh light in my eyes. So I know how you are feeling. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and life with me. It helps me to know that there are kindred spirits out there, who understand. Now if I only had a freezer full of wild blueberries, I think that would make everything so much better! Ah well, c'est la vie! God bless, and here's hoping that spring will come soon, giving all of our lives warmth and newness!

You know I have seen such circle light "presence" around my home. It's always a bit scary but at the same time inspiring - we live among lots of energies and different levels of existance. So what we see with our physical eyes is really small part of all. I always love when you go deep into these themes in your videos! Hugs from Bulgaria

I think it’s beautiful your ancestors have reached out and are visiting you in your sacred space and what once was theirs and still is. Being a Artist, I understand we see the world w different eyes and are extremely sensitive to energy. I think they can see your plans from a higher point of view or plane than we can see. They are visiting you , pushing you to bring your destiny and manifest your studio through their energy aswell. Orbs of light are always signs from them I believe pushing you on from some realm just next to ours but very much still in our realm if we look w our heart and mind. Thank you for positive vibes that help me as Aswell while struggle through my new transition as a Artist. Much Love from one Artist to another.

Hi Jonna and Johan. Thank you for just being yourselves. It's so reassuring to watch two authentic souls, no pretense, no drama, just peaceful and lovely. I know you're always busy getting s*** done... Lol but you're also a breath of fresh air for so many people and I'm truly grateful for your channel. You keep us grounded and remind us of the good things in life. Your studio looks like it's taking shape and how great that it's got beautiful hidden features. It will soon be an inspiring & functioning work space. Spring/Summer will soon be here in all its glory and you'll be able to plant your garden again... A night in the scary forest sounds a little humourous, I'm sure you'd get the giggles or frighten yourselves silly..😂 Anyway, thanks so much for everything you do and share with us. Love to you all including Nanook. 🙏✌️❤️ From UK.

Jonna, you are medicine for me. I usually cry a bit during your films, because I have always yearned to live as you do... but my family traveled from Sweden to New York and the lifestyle is like being on a different planet 😂. I'm in AZ now for the past 25 years. Anyway, I've had a terrible few years with major health problems, and this month was extra difficult... I flew to be with my mom who passed, then my son was on life support with hours to live... I flew to him, and he woke up after a few days, and they took him off the ventilator. It was a miracle. He had covid, pneumonia, last stages of heart failure,, and was detoxing from substance abuse.. We had not spoken for 1 1/2 years. He was released yesterday, and said he's going to be calling me a lot. I am so blessed. Watching your video today makes me feel like cleaning the spare room that turned into a storage room. You give me peace. I can't describe it.. I always feel serene after watching you. Thank you.

It made me so happy looking at you peel off the lining from the walls and ceiling, it reminded me of when I would peel off the plastic wrap from a brand new PC part or TV monitor. It's catharsis you won't find anywhere else. The lining was probably there for a reason but having the inner woodwork exposed wasn't so bad either. I wish you'd scraped off the paint, gave everything a good sanding, and preserved the wood color in clear varnish but that's way too much work. And white is said to be therapeutic too. I love that shot with the Northern lights, especially from 1:00 onwards. I always thought aurora was just a single smoky band like an oddly formed green-only rainbow, I never imagined you'd be able to pick out millions of color spikes foaming and writhing in the sky. Makes me regret that we don't have that in the tropics. by the way, if you could finish it properly the nails wouldn't actually look so bad. It would add character to a plain brown wooden roof, certainly.

It's like I'm going beyond any discomfort... And another strange trend. We used to have very snowy winters. But lately, I've been watching your videos, and all the snow you have there, in the north of Sweden, and we have started to get little snow. And the temperature also somehow behaves strange. .. The aurora was absolutely beautiful I'd love to see it in person and the blueberry juice sounds really delicious. And it's comforting to see other people have trouble with talking on the phone and texting. 😊

I have also been struggling this season. I also feel blue and have terrible migraines. I am so proud of you for pushing on and being productive. I often find myself frozen in bed with the covers over my head. Send a little energy my way. Hugs to you and love from Michigan.

I've been studying herbal medicine and have a suggestion for you headaches. Try having lemon tea. Hot water, slice of lemon and a pinch of sea or rock salt. The hot water will hydrate you (don't forget you can get dehydrated during winter to), the lemon is natural sugars and good for the stomach acid (when your stomach acid and microbial wall is right it helps with everything in the body) and the salt is for electrolytes. It should help with your headaches 😊 Also, you are doing wonderful work. Hugs from Australia! 😊

Exactly 💯. I am from upstate NY basically almost in Canada and it is the same there with all the lake effect snow and freezing cold 🥶 minus the beautiful Northern lights and complete darkness at times and complete light at other times 🤗 It is so pretty though and I very much miss it at times! I would love to be able to live exactly as they do, without a neighbor in sight really and surrounded by nature! So peaceful and stunning! Sending so much peace, light and love to everyone 🫶🏻🥰❤️

that make sense! Did you know that a 5th of the entire population of Sweden migrated to the US? How crazy is that, 20% of people back in those days just leaving everything behind and migrating on a boat, the very vast majority never to return. Hard to imagine!

@@ptrana2518that's really interesting. My great grandfather had to go back to Sweden for a period because he ended up being illegal, I'm assuming due to his visa running out, lived with his new wife's family that was still there, then came back to the US after switching his names around and taking her last name as his own. They didn't tell any of us that, so when I found it out, it was really interesting. My boys are now realizing that we have a strong urge to live in the north, and it's likely due to our genetics.

Oh Jonna, I have been there too, stripping off layers and layers to discover the amazing beauty underneath. This was a physical reality, but also a metaphor. It was dirty, dusty exhausting work and it took much longer than I imagined, but it was so worth it in the end. This too makes sense metaphorically. Stick with it. Be in the dirty present, but always knowing a beautiful future awaits

Thank you for updating us on your daily life. Today you were my "lunchdate" since I've been working from my home. There are truly a lot of hard work with your new studio. Well done Jonna 💪👏💪 I think I would keep small pieces of the old wallpaper and put them in a frame - as a small "mirror" of the past, the glimpse of the folks that once chosed those wallpapers. Your studio is going to be so beautiful and I love all those wooden walls and "inner-roofs". Lovely ending aswell with you and Johan drinking Bluberries 👍. Have you ever heard of Malte Marten? He plays Handpan (very odd instrument 😅with an absolutly amazing and in a way magical sound). He and Johan look a little bit alike. Wish you both the best - aswell as Nanook ♡ - thank you for beeing you 🙏
